"Congrats, Hari!"

I got teary-eyed as she finally got the man she'd been pining since time immemorial.

Rana asked. Hari shrugged her shoulder while still looking at the ring.

"Pag-uusapan palang namin." Though I was still doubting about it, I was happy for her. Even if she had the ring on her finger, no one could escape the fact that Halijah had it once, too. The only difference was, the world knew that she was the fiancée now. Nothing could assure forever but consistent love. And Hari's relationship with Hashim just started yet.

"Don't you think it's too soon?" Dolce gone skeptic. "Kasi, wala kayong relasyon, 'di ba? Your relationship has yet to build a foundation.

"They can build their relationship while building their foundation at the same time. And who cares about time, right? Kilala na nila ang isa't-isa. Look at Woerden and Niall. From friendship to marriage. And to think na seven months palang silang nagkakilala—"

"Shut up! Oh, God!

"I'm just giving an example here, Ja. Na hindi panahon ang magdidikta either your relationship with someone would work or not. It's up to the person if he wants to build a family with you. Look. You've been dating that Woerden guy for five years and then he's gonna marry someone he just met for seven months? How bullshit, right? Nagtiis ka sa kaniya for years at sa iba pala bumuo ng pamilya. You're not a living recycle bin na tinatanggal ang useless na bagay sa kaniya para lang gamitin ng iba ang something useful."

Wow! Now, that's the argument that I long wanted to listen. You never argue to a beauty queen like that.

"Kaya kapag umabot kayo ng five years or more at walang level up na naganap, mag-isip-isip kana," hirit ni Dolce to lighten the atmosphere.

"It's either mag-propose ka o hiwalayan na siya," I added with a laugh. I meant it as a joke. Dapat masaya lang ang gabing 'to. "Hashim's proposal to Hari just proves that he wanted to settle down with her even if they're not together."

"Are you sure about that?" kontra ni Dolce. She'd rather say the painful truth than making us believed sweet lies.

It was dawn when we decided to call it a night.

"Love, I'm so drunk. I'm sowri." She'd witness all of my shits. But no matter how drunk I was, I still could remember how we ended naked in bed.

Hapon na nang nagising ako. Gosh! We still had a dinner meeting with dad tonight. We'd talk to him and I'd tell him everything that had happened to me in Madrid. Saka ko siguro haharapin ulit si mommy.

When Xantheus and I arrived at the exclusive restaurant, dad was already there with someone waiting for us.
