Just along with mind reading, there was foretelling the future. That seemed like a really cool power to Starseeker once he heard of it. But it seemed like they were mostly nightmares, if Moon was telling the truth. It hurt a ton and it was super vague. It hadn't helped with anything, Moon said, and she hadn't had any most helpful most needed visions about how to escape the NightWing island.

(Well...maybe not in those exact words.)

So...basically, what Moon meant, was that seeing the future sucked, even though she never admitted it. "Starseeker, it doesn't suck, it just...takes it's time. Soon, hopefully, it'll give us something worth knowing. Besides, I only see important moments in time. Maybe some dragons could see the future at will, a long time ago, but not this dragon." was what she said, and then had this long lecture about a dragon named Clearsight she read about by another dragon called Listener.

Starseeker always assumed that the dragonet prophecy was foretold by some other NightWing years and years and years ago. It was kind of simple: five dragonets. Two SandWing princesses will die. The other one (chosen by the five dragonets) will have "the power of wings of fire" whatever that was. And then, BOOM, the war's over, fireworks everywhere yay! But the prophecy never said how the dragonets would end the war.

But he never really did like prophecies. A, they were super creepy. B, most of them were really cryptic and vague and frustrating. C, it was a warning, always a warning, that the sky will fall, demons everywhere, dead dragons. Everywhere. But it never tells you how, when, and WHAT.

He had only heard two prophecies before: The dragonet prophecy...and Moon's.

Starseeker had never told her out loud, even though Moon knew by reading his mind. She mumbled a few parts, and over time, he managed to put it all together. At least twice a week, when she was sleeping, she mumbled,

"When the fourth moon blares down,

collide shall claw and tooth.

A buried secret may be unleashed

when scales of shadow unfold some truth.

To save those who are victims of the dark,

you must uncover the hidden monarch."

It was creepy. Really. Really creepy. He didn't have the guts to talk to her about it, though.

Starseeker paced on the stone floor, ignoring the jagged pain scratching at his talons as he walked back and forth.

"Starseeker, you'll scar yourself if you keep doing that, stop it. I-I need to talk to you. Right now." Moon swooped into the cave, looking ten times more anxious than usual. Her eyes were glancing everywhere, as if a camouflaged RainWing were to pop up somewhere and spray venom in her face.

He stopped. "What?"

"The NightWings are planning to invade the rainforest and kill all the RainWings. Really soon. I don't know exactly when, though."

Starseeker's face went pale and he got goosebumps all over. He clutched her head. "But-but—they can't—they wouldn't!"

Moon looked at him, and gave him that immense stare of her's. "They would, they could, and they will."

"Then we need to get out here, then!" he exclaimed. What if they get away with it? his brain ticked. But that would be almost impossible. RainWings have deadly venom in there fangs and camouflage scales! They'll kill us all!

"We can't," Moon said. "Even if we wanted to, we can't."

He sighed softly. "I know, but there must be a way? Right?"
