Morrowseer's claws sank into the sand and dust, two moons watching in the sky. He would have much likely wanted Blister to come to the rainforest, but he couldn't have made any small rivalries.

The cool night breeze blew downwind, and he arched his wings to stop the sand blowing in his face. Blister still wasn't here yet. Morrowseer couldn't help but feel annoyed. Puncuality would be essential to his plan — but so were Blister's forces, so he had to keep silent.

"Morrowseer." Sand flew, and Blister landed neatly on the ground, spreading her wings.

He gave a faint nod in respect, though he didn't have any for her. "Blister."

"And now," she said silkily, "will you finally tell me why I have to waste my breath talking to you on this night?"

Morrowseer had to stop himself from bristling. Essential to your plan, he told himself again. "I would like to form an alliance," Morrowseer said, sweeping sand off his wings. "The NightWings will help you dispose of Blaze, and it also seems that we both find five particular dragonets quite annoying — we also have a solid theory of their location. They stole two of our dragonets as well, who must be taught a lesson, and can be useful in our situation. The alliance will also focus on stamping out your little SandWing problem in the Scorpion Den."

Morrowseer could tell by the way Blister narrowed her eyes that she was wondering how he knew about the Outclaws. "Are you interested in my offer?"

"I'm intrigued," Blister said. "You are positive on their location?"

"Very. It's quite simple, SandWing: you help me, I help you, and in the end, we both get what we want." The Dragonets of Destiny dead, Moonwatcher and Starseeker back in my talons, and any trace of the RainWings disposed of. Yes, I'll probably blackmail Blister too, but it'll be worth it.

"You have yourself a deal."

"Excellent."
