third person.
"you haven't spoke to me all morning," corbyn said, walking into the office of mollie's house before he sat down beside her, watching the girl mix two shades of paint together.
"how's your hangover?" she asked, keeping her gaze on the paints as corbyn let out a sigh, taking the paintbrush from her hands, "corb-"
"talk to me." he interrupted her, "let's talk about it, why are you trying to avoid me?"
mollie sighed, glancing around where she was sat for a different paintbrush before looking back at the boy, "i don't hate you."
"i know you don't." corbyn replied, raising his eyebrows slightly as mollie shook her head.
"but i said it."
"you were upset."
"it was still a shitty thing to say." she shrugged, "i yelled at you, threw a cushion at you and then shut myself in the bathroom, why are you acting like i didn't do anything?"
"because i want to talk about it without one of us getting frustrated." corbyn told the girl as she rolled her eyes, "and you're clearly getting frustrated. look i'm fine, you didn't hurt me, i just want to be on the same page."
"i don't know why i reacted like that." mollie said, "i got angry and i didn't think before i spoke, i'd never throw something at you intentionally, it was just.. i don't know."
"it was you letting out your anger," he replied as mollie slowly nodded, "i get that but maybe we should work on finding a better way to control your emotions."
"punching a-"
"one that isn't punching a wall."
"i don't have any other way." she shrugged, "i'm sorry, i was upset that you went to a party and got drunk."
"i thought it was because of our argument," he said, tilting his head as he furrowed his eyebrows before mollie looked at him.
"yeah it was, but also because instead of deciding to come talk to me about it you went to a party." mollie explained, "i don't care if you go to them, i'd just rather we are on good terms before you do."
"okay," corbyn nodded, "i'm sorry for going to the party and for what i said the other night, i am glad that you're spending time with monica but i think my jealously got the best of me a little bit."
"about monica," mollie said, changing the subject quickly as corbyn looked at her confused, "and the suitcase you asked about last night."
"yeah..?"
"i'm spending the weekend with her," she told him, "at her apartment."
"where's her apartment?"
"about a three hour drive away," she shrugged before turning to face him, "she wants to take me ice skating and there's a rink near her place so we're staying there until sunday."
"that'll be good for you and max." corbyn nodded, handing the paintbrush back to her mollie shook her head.
"...it's just me going."
"oh." he paused, "when is she picking you up?"
"in about an hour," mollie said, putting her paintbrush into the pot of water before grabbing her cup of coffee, "i'll be there until sunday morning."
"okay," the boy nodded and smiled slightly, "but i still want to call you before i sleep."
"i'll still call you," she returned his smile, rolling her eyes and shaking her head before turning back to the wall she was painting on, "i'm sorry for what i said the other night about you running off with another girl, i remember snapping at you about that."
"it's okay, but i'd never ever do that." he told her, "so don't get any ideas about it because i'm never just going to run off with a girl that isn't you."
"you might-"
"mollie."
"ok fine, i won't think that." she held her hands up, "monica is starting to grow on me, i think we get along well."
"you have the same personalities," corbyn mentioned, "it's just one is more mature than the other."
"you think?"
"yeah, and the fact that she's a lot more nicer than you." he smiled at her, watching the girl's face fall before giving him a glare.
"max is starting to act weird about it," she sighed, "it was his idea and now suddenly he seems off about her."
"really?"
"he's stopped leaving the house as often to go see her," she told corbyn as he furrowed his eyebrows slightly, "he sees her once a week now and i see her about three."
"maybe he just wants you to be closer to her," corbyn suggested, "because he knows you want that."
"but i don't want him to feel left out," mollie frowned, "i'd like for us both to have a bond with her."
"i don't know baby," corbyn shrugged and smiled, wrapping his arms around her waist before he rested his head on her shoulder, "i'm sure it's fine."
"i'm sure it is too but this is like the one thing i don't want him to give up so i can have it," mollie told him, "this is something we both need."
"you're going to start overthinking it if you keep talking about it," he replied, placing a few kisses along her shoulder before reaching the girl's neck, "let me help distract you."
"nope," she shook her head, hearing the boy mumble a laugh into her neck as his hands began to travel up her shirt, "corbyn, monica will be here in under an hour."
"so?"
"not today," the girl said as he removed his hands from under her shirt and instead wrapped them around the girl, "maybe when i get back."
"a maybe is still a no," corbyn mumbled, "you can continue painting, i'm comfortable now."
"don't make me mess up on purpose."
"i won't do that, never to your artwork."
