third person.
as soon as everyone had arrived for eugene's funeral, including family that mollie and max hadn't seen in almost five years, the ceremony finally begun and as assumed, almost everyone in the venue was crying.
but despite the tears and emotional speeches, it ended on a more happy note and people seemed to getting along just fine, so while they headed to the small social gathering afterwards to celebrate the late of the man who passed, that was when monica arrived at the venue.
but before mollie had to the chance to go and walk over to her mom, her arm was grabbed and she was pulled into the bathroom just beside her, the door being locked as she turned around to see corbyn.
"okay," mollie nodded once, a slight confused expression on her face as the boy smiled and walked up to her, cupping her face before placing a dozen soft kisses on her lips.
"i've missed you so much, you have no idea." he shook his head, picking her up and placing her on the counter placed in the bathroom as she looked at him confused, "what?"
"don't you think we should make sure our moms aren't fighting..?"
"jordan and max are always there.." corbyn shrugged, his hands grabbing onto the girls waist as she gave him a small smile before wrapping her arms around his neck, "your mascara is smudged under your eye."
"i was crying." mollie nodded, "we are at a funeral if you were not aware."
"i was very aware," he tilted his head.
"i just wasn't sure because we're locked in a bathroom together with our families outside and i know you're turned on," she gave him a smile, watching him roll his eyes before a small smirk appeared on his face.
"well if you're going to be like that," corbyn huffed, moving his hands off his girlfriend as he stood a small step back before mollie groaned, grabbing onto his shirt and pulling him back towards her.
"don't be a dick." she shook her head.
"i'm doing nothing wrong princess," he placed a kiss on her forehead, backing away from her once more before he unlocked the door to the bathroom, "we can make out later."
"you're annoying," mollie frowned, hopping off the counter before the couple left the enclosed room, immediately noticing saskia and monica talking to each other, "oh no.."
"let's go over there," corbyn suggested, his hand on the girl's lower back as they both walked over to their moms, immediately sensing the tension between them, "so you two have met.."
"we have," monica nodded, folding her arms as she glared at saskia before rolling her eyes.
"i don't understand why you're bitchy over how i've raised my kids?" saskia looked at her, "i raised them all very well, i'm not accepting criticism from someone who hasn't raised hers at all."
"do you have a right to step into my personal life?"
"uh, yes." she nodded, "your daughter comes to me for help and-"
"well she shouldn't."
"i wasn't finished." saskia told her.
"okay, mom why don't we go get a drink?" corbyn suggested, receiving a shake of her head before she turned back to monica, "i think we should."
"my daughter doesn't need to speak to you about things, she has me." monica explained, glancing over at mollie who had been staring at the floor for the past few minutes.
"mom," max came up behind the woman, "it's okay, we could all get along if you give saskia a chance."
"she's trying to control my daughter," monica said, earning a few stares from the people sat around them as saskia herself had even gone silent, "mollie needs me more than she needs you."
julie had put her head in her hands, looking over at nicole who gave her a small shrug and shook her head, sitting at the table with ashley and jordan by her side.
"let's go," saskia told her children, grabbing her bag from the table before glancing over at mollie, "you too mollie."
"super respectful leaving a funeral with the person's granddaughter," monica spoke up with a sarcastic tone, "i'm not letting you take mollie home."
"it's not your choice, learn to parent properly and then we'll talk." saskia looked behind her shoulder before she held up the middle finger, turning back towards the group she had gathered with her as they headed to her car.
"what did she say to you before we came?" corbyn looked at his mom with his arm around his girlfriend.
"that i was doing a bad job at parenting because i don't have full control over my kids," she explained, unlocking the car as everyone got into it, "so i told her me and my kids have boundaries with each other, that set her off completely."
"i'm sorry about her." mollie told saskia, "usually she's nicer than that."
"i only left so i didn't cause a scene at a funeral," saskia replied, putting on her seatbelt before pulling away from the venue, "i would've put her in her place but i wanted to respect julie and the family of eugene."
"would you get into a fight with her?" ashley folded her arms, looking over at the drivers seat as saskia replied with a nod, "you would? really?"
"if she started it," she shrugged, "then yeah i'd finish it."
"you know we left nicole by herself, right?" jordan told the four of them, gesturing towards the direction of the venue as corbyn and mollie shrugged.
"nana will keep her company," mollie said, corbyn nodding in agreement, "and max will drop her home so it's fine."
after another five minutes or so in the car, the group finally arrived back at the besson household and headed inside. corbyn and mollie were the first to go upstairs and as they walked into corbyn's bedroom, mollie immediately stopped and took notice of the polaroids spread out on his bed.
"corbyn."
"before you say anything," he walked over to the scattered pile, "they're not the ones of you half naked they're the cute ones, i'm putting them up in my room."
"i can literally see one of me half naked," mollie told him, pointing to the one he was sat beside as he burst into laughter, "you horny bitch."
"i didn't even realise," he shook his head, reaching his hands out for her waist and slowly pulling her on top of him, "but it's fine no one saw it besides me."
"except daniel that one time," she raised an eyebrow, straddling his waist while a smile grew on his face.
"you love reminding me of times when i fuck up," he frowned, "it's rude of you."
"i know you didn't do it on purpose," mollie mumbled, placing a soft kiss on his cheek as his arms wrapped around her.
"forget the make out, let's cuddle," he said, turning onto his side and pulling the girl with him before placing a blanket over the two of them, "i missed you."
"i missed you too," she replied, letting the boy get himself comfortable as he placed his head in the crook of her neck, his arm tracing small doodles on her arm, "i love you."
"i love you more," corbyn smiled, a kiss being placed onto her shoulder before he moved his head back to where it previously was, closing his eyes in the process.
