Don't you guys just love when I leave it on a cliffhanger:)

TW: mention of blood

I didn't see anything. Everything was dark and hazy. But I did feel the soft earth beneath, felt almost like...sand. I heard the waves of the ocean fade in and out. I felt a cool breeze holding the scent of seawater. I think I may have heard a seagull cry. Perhaps it was mourning for me.

"She's losing too much blood!"

"What do you need?"

"I-I don't know how to fix it."

"You're a bloody wizard wave your wand!"

"Do what you did to help Newt when he flinched."

"That was different! That was a magical injury, not a dagger!"

Voices came in and out. I tried to say something, but my mouth was numb. I felt a hand on the back of my neck, trying to make me sit up. "Y/N, Y/N it's going to be fine." Was that Newt? Or maybe Edmund? Or maybe the angels because it was finally my time.

I felt a warm sensation in my stomach. I felt white light behind my eyelids. Is this it then? What a pathetic way to die. But the voices around me became clearer. I tried to open my eyes and saw a dark grey sky above.

"Y/N! You're alright oh my god." I felt arms wrap around me. I leaned into Edmund's warm embrace after what felt like eternity of feeling cold. Around me, I saw familiar faces. Hermione was on the sand, on the brink of tears. Newt and Harry were sitting beside me. Ron was standing next to someone who looked similar to him. Fleur was kneeling and looking at me, smiling to see I was fine.

"Y/N saved Dobby's life, Dobby is forever indebted." Dobby bowed.

"Oh, c'mon now Dobby, it's what friends do." I smiled faintly.

"Let's get her inside." Bill said. Edmund helped me up and I slung an arm around him while we walked to the cottage. Immediately I was sent upstairs to shower, clean up, and change. There was no sign that a dagger had even pierced my flesh a couple minutes ago.

I wrapped myself in a towel and came outside the bathroom.

"Oh!" I exclaimed as I saw Edmund standing there. He gave a chuckle.

"I just need a fresh shirt, then I'll be out of here." He explained. I nodded and sat down on the edge of the bed, clutching my towel as he rummaged in his backpack for a shirt. With one swift motion he grabbed the collar at the back of his shirt and pulled it off.

Hot.

His back was to me and I watched as his lean muscles shifted as he continued to search. I looked away as my cheeks got hotter. I needed some holy water to get rid of some of the thoughts that crossed my mind. He turned to face me, a shirt in his hand. But he didn't put it on, instead he walked over to me and sat beside me.

"Hey uh...I don't know but um...I had to talk to you about something." He said.

I sat up straighter. "Yeah of course, tell me."

"Well...I just saw how close you and Newt were, and I'm completely fine with that. One thing I've learned is to always communicate. I have a dark past and I'm not the most trustworthy person, so I can understand if you-"

"-Let me stop you there Ed." I softly said, taking his hand in my own.

"We all have secrets and vices. But I've told you this before, I know who you really are, I can see through your façade, and I know you have a good heart." I said. He furiously got up.

"But that's just it! Why should someone like you even put up with me? Why do you care? Y/N, my past isn't going anywhere and I'm sorry to say that you talking nicely to me or acting sweet isn't going to fix it."

"I'm not trying to fix it, I'm trying to tell you that I don't care about it. I'm telling you that everyone needs someone to get them through their darker times and I can be that someone-"

"I don't need you to shine light on me or act like some kind of savior."

"Fine, I won't shine light on you." I huffed but stepped towards him, putting one hand on his cheek while the other kept my towel clung to me. "But I'll sit with you in the dark."

if you know you know ;)

Edmund leaned forward and touched his forehead to mine. I was the first to turn my head and twist my lips and meet his lips with mine. They were instantly molded together in warmth. I forgot what his kisses felt like. The warmth from his lips spread throughout my body with heat. My hand slid down from his cheek and rested on his bare chest.

He sighed into the kiss at the touch. His hand wrapped behind me waist and pulled me ever closer. He slowly pushed his tongue forward, and I allowed him to enter. With the other hand he trailed his finger along me bare arm, making me whimper in the slightest and ever so slightly loosen the hold on my towel.

Edmund broke apart from the kiss, taking his hands off me. He grabbed the towel and held it tighter, not letting it fall. He leaned forward, his breath hovering over my ear. "If that towel falls love, you don't want to know what'll happen."

"But what if I do..." I said breathlessly.

Edmund leaned back from my ear to look at me in the eye. "Y/N, I know...I want to indulge too, and you have no idea how much I control myself in front of you, but I don't think we can right now. We're in the midst of a war-"

"-Yeah yeah, I understand. Guess I was just caught in the moment." I replied.

"And I was too....but you better watch out, because the minute this war is over...." He once again hovered over my ear and muttered something obscene that made me gasp. He chuckled in response to my reaction. "I'm serious, I will do that." He said, pulling on a shirt.

"We'll see Mr. Pevensie." I raised my eyebrows. He left the room with his classic smirk and I changed into my clothes, also heading downstairs. I took a bowl of food from Fleur and joined everyone at the small dining table.

"We've found the next horcrux and we're going to break into Gringotts." Harry told me directly.

"Slow down..." I sat down.

"We don't really have time, we're going tomorrow. All of us are going to have disguises. Bellatrix let slip that there's a horcrux in a vault." Harry explained.

"But let's not forget this is Gringott's we're talking about. It's impenetrable without the help of a-ohhh." It hit me that they were going to use Griphook. I looked down at my food. I should enjoy this warm home cooked meal while I could.
