Hello you…

Welcome to my first blog post in what feels like FOREVER. Sorry for the lack of posts! It’s really hard to write these things but I’m trying to build up a library of them on my computer so I won’t need to write them each week and I can just post them - If that makes sense?

Another thing… HAPPY VALENTINES DAY or what someone told me HAPPY FOREVER ALONE DAY.

So which ever one it is for you - the latter for me – I hope you are having/have had (depending on whether you are reading this is the future) day.

I know some people find being alone of Valentine’s Day pretty hard. I don’t really find it too much of the problem normally I forget and then someone tells me I’m I say: “Oh… that’s nice”.

Valentine’s Day isn’t something ya’ll should worry your little socks off about. It’s basically a day made up to help shops sell stuff. If you’re in a proper relationship you shouldn’t need a specific day to be exceptionally nice or generous to your partner.

So boys and girls get off your asses and find something nice to give or say to your partner EVERYDAY.

And for all you out there who don’t have a date today or someone to give stuff to (btw why give gifts away when you can keep it for yourself, being single has so many benefits) here are five of my top facts about Valentine’s Day:

1.  It’s bad luck to sign a Valentine’s Day

This only applies if you’re from Victorian times; it was considered bad luck in Victorian times to sign a Valentine’s Day card.

2.  Doggy Love

3% of pet owners by Valentine Day card for their pets. So if you’re exceptionally lonely make your furry (or scaly) friend your true love :)

3.  Recipe for LOVE

So as to dream about your true love just eat weird and unusual foods like medieval people used to do on Valentine’s Day

4.  Who’s Awesome? YOU’RE AWESOME!

15% of US women send flowers to themselves of Valentine’s Day. Why not?

5.  Where for out thou Romeo?

Verona, Italy, where Romeo and Juliet was set is sent 1,000 letters each year addressed to Juliet.

I hope they made your Valentine’s Day a little more factual.

But the fact is, if your have a Valentine, spend the day loving them and being – I was going to say nice but be more than that. And if you don’t have a Valentine just say: “Oh… that’s nice” and then do whatever you do normally. Technically Valentine’s Day is just another day, but it has a name other than Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, it means stuff to some people and to other it’s just “nice”

[Oh. My. Gosh! My intellect and genius right there. I could win as Oscar for that speech! Damn!]

And if it really bothers you… BE MY VALENTINE! Or be JC Caylen’s, he is right over there --> --> --> with a video he posted like two? Three years ago? But it was filmed on Valentine’s Day and it came up when I typed “Valentine’s Day” in to YouTube so… there it is.

Also check out the picture – it described my Valentine, perfectly.

Tell me how your Valentine’s Day is/was in the comments below and any fact you know about Valentine’s Day.

So enjoy Valentine’s Day whether it’s with a man, woman, cat, dog, donkey, yourself… ANYONE.

Until next week,

X LOLA
