The Hate is REAL (Nash and Cam)

Hi guys, so it's me - that's if you even remember who I am.

I haven't written in absolutely ages and I have no real good excuses. I'm currently trying to tackle writing a book that I'm hoping will be out for Christmas - it's taking time - that's all I can say, its taking a lot of time.

So if you remember back to all that time ago to when I did a post about You tubers you will remember (maybe?) that i wrote a list of my favourite You tubers. That list has grown and some people have unfortunately lost their place (it was a challenging time in their careers). Back to the point; I was sent a suggestion for a blog from that and it came from B.Silver (@BSilve), she said:

"I say the following with kindness and objectivity, please it read it in that manner:

Since you love googling things, I suggest you google Cameron and Nash (if you're not in the mood to google all 6 of your you tubers). Maybe you could even write a blog about what you think about what you'll find out about them....(hint hint: not great things)"

So first thing thank you for your comment and don't worry I'm not going to be insulted by anything you say (if you called me a big nosed piece of sh*t I'd really have to think about it though). Also, yes, I know Nash and Cam have had loads of hate and I do think that to an extent some of it is relatively justified (I don't think that's the right word cause it's not justified but then it sort of is, I just don't know). Basically I understand why people hate him - he does annoy me to an extent - like DUDE CUT YOUR FREAKIN' HAIR!

Anyway back to the point I did google both of them (well I am right now but you will be reading this in the future while I am writing it in the present/your and my past - lost track a bit there... sorry) and this is what I came up with:

Let's start with Nash...

So I began with just typing his name in to google to see what comes up. Mostly I just got his twitter and Wikipedia - looking at his page on that... as well as a really ugly picture of him there's a whole section called "video controversies" - I think that says a lot. It says he's been accused of being "sexist, racist, and homophobic." I do know about this and I've seen all the posts that these are derived from, his video on what makes a girl beautiful and also his vine against the LGBT community.

Returning to google and scrolling down a bit more it's mostly just links to various social media accounts but I do also find my on the story about his LGBT slur (slur is such a weird word). The headline to a newspaper article is:

Vine star Nash Grier kisses male fan after calling HIV a 'fag' disease

I was quite reluctant here to use the word fag because it is a very derogatory term that really people shouldn't use, it's super old fashions and I think now that people have enough common sense to know not to use it.

So a quick overview of what Nash did - he created a vine in response to a HIV advert and called it a "disease" as well as adding some more colourful language to boost it some more. Anyway in response he created a Snapchat of himself kissing a guy. I'm just gonna throw in here that the guy he's kissing looks totally disgusted like "what the hell is this guy doing!?"

In response Nash wrote: "I apologize for anything negative I've said towards gays and for that matter anyone. I was young, ignorant, stupid, and in a bad place."

I'm really trying here to not be bias on either side of this. I feel that although I do like Nash and I think he's very funny and relatively good looking there shouldn't be an excuse for this behaviour - I get that he's young but I also feel that there are so many people around him like managers, PR people as well as parents and guardians that at least someone should have checked what he is putting on his twitter and vine and YouTube and should have thought "could this offend people?" and something like that would pretty obviously offend a lot of people.
