Hinata stood in his room, his heart feeling heavy. The realization that they would be moving away had finally hit him. They had been helping their mother put things in boxes, and now his once cluttered room had an empty floor. The walls that were covered with band and sports posters were now bare. All that was left was his clothes, his bed, and his computer– which they practically begged their mother to let him have for one more night. Hinata laid down on the floor, arms spread out. He closed his eyes and thought about their childhood here, the things they'd miss, and the things they were glad to leave behind. He didn't notice anybody come in until a high-pitched voice said, "What are we doing?"

Hinata yelped, sitting up and opening his eyes to see Natsu lying down next to them. "Jeez, Natsu, you scared me,"

Natsu muttered an apology as Hinata laid down next to her, this time resting his hands on his chest. "Excited for the move?" They asked, turning their head to the tiny head of orange hair. Natsu shrugged.

"Why do we have to go so far away?" She asked, a little pout on her face. "I wanna be close to my friends."

"You'll be able to visit!" Hinata responded in attempts to comfort his little sister. "You can come back to visit your friends when I come to visit Kenma."

Natsu hummed in response, and the two siblings laid in silence. After about five minutes, Natsu rolled on her side and looked up at Hinata.

"Do you have any friends other than Kenma?"

Hinata huffed, sitting up. "Okay, Shoyo needs some me-time," they said, shooing his sister out of the room. Natsu giggled as Hinata closed the door.

    Buzz buzz.

Hinata let out a huge breath of air. His heart felt heavy. It was hard to believe that in a week this room wouldn't be theirs, this town would be hours away, and he'd be leaving so much behind.

    Buzz buzz.

Hinata waddled over to their phone, picking it up to see two notifications from Meanie.

Mr meanie: hey

Mr meanie: you good at math

Hinata snorted.

Hinata: no I'm gay

Mr meanie: that's fair

Hinata: why?

Mr meanie: I'm doing math?

Hinata: oh

Mr meanie: you ok

Hinata pressed their lips together in thought. Could he get away with lying? Should they just say straight up they're feeling weird?

Hinata: yeah

Mr meanie: I know you're lying dumbass

Mr meanie: what's wrong

Hinata: how do you know that

Mr meanie: you're texting weird

Oh shit, am I? Hinata thought, reading over what they sent again. He could notice that words weren't as exaggerated as usual, and their sentences were shorter. Huh.

Hinata: how did you notice that before I did?

Hinata: are you a wizard?

Mr meanie: just observant

Hinata flopped in his bed, twiddling his thumbs. Venting wasn't something they normally did.

Hinata: it's whatever

Hinata: it just kinda hit me that I'm moving soon ig

Mr meanie: oh damn

Hinata: it's fine though!

Hinata: I'll get over it lol

Hinata watched for about three minutes as Mr Meanie's typing bubble disappeared and reappeared over and over again. It was almost funny, watching this guy who overall seems cold and mean try to comfort Hinata. Just what was he gonna say?

Mr meanie: isthereanywayicanhelp

Wow. Wasn't expecting that, Hinata thought once he was finally able to read what it said.

Hinata: aweeeeee you care :)

Mr meanie: hurry up before I change my mind

Hinata pondered for a moment, trying to think of anything worth mentioning. Then, it hit them.

Hinata: there's one thing I can think of

Shitshitshitshitshit.

Practice had just ended, causing Kageyama to groan to himself. Why did I agree to this? He thought to himself, walking towards the jackass Tsukishima reluctantly. Damnit, Carrot Top.

He had agreed to playing a game with Carrot Top and his friend without thinking. He was too focused on cheering up the kid who was normally a ball of sunshine to realize what he was agreeing to. Lucky for Kageyama, Carrot Top said he could invite a friend if he was paranoid– unlucky for Kageyama, he didn't want to bring someone who obviously wasn't him. He spent some time during practice trying to figure out who to ask– Tanaka and Nishinoya were automatically out of the question, the third years and the rest of the second years couldn't pass off as Kageyama for reasons that definitely weren't related to maturity level, and Tadashi would probably be too nice at first for Carrot Top to confuse him with Kageyama. That left one other person.

Damnit damnit damnit damnit damnit.

"Tsukishima!"

The blonde, who had been halfway out the gym door, stopped in his tracks. Kageyama caught up to him as he turned around. He looked puzzled for a moment, before a smug look spread across his face. "Your Highness,"

Kageyama glared, tempted to just walk away then and there. It hadn't even been ten seconds and Tsukishima was already being a prick. Still, he tried to swallow his anger and pride. "I need a favour,"

Tsukishima raised an eyebrow, looking more interested than Kageyama had ever seen him. "You need a favour from me?" He questioned. "What's next, Santa's real?"

"Shut up," Kageyama shot back. Damnit Carrot Top, his brain echoed. "I'm playing a video game with a couple friends tonight and need to bring someone on."

"Ask literally anyone else," Tsukishima scoffed, starting to turn and leave.

"I can't, idiot!"

Tsukishima stopped and turned to Kageyama yet again. Kageyama avoided eye contact, his face started burning up in frustration. "They don't know much about me, and I'd like to keep it that way, so–"

"That's so stupid,"

"Yeah, I don't care," Kageyama snapped. "I need someone who could pass off as me, and you're a pretty big asshole, so–"

"Just play with your Canadian girlfriend by yourself, King–"

"I'll do whatever you say for two days!" Kageyama practically yelled, almost immediately regretting what he said after it had already left his mouth.

"Make it a week."

"A school week."

Tsukishima smiled, an expression that was rare on his face, and one Kageyama hated. "Deal,"

Tsukishima walked away, as Kageyama felt the frustration build up. Damnit, Carrot Top! Why am I even doing this for you?
