hi! it's been 3ish years since i've updated, so i know a lot of past readers won't even see this, but if you're reading this: i'm really sorry about disappearing! i wrote myself into a narrative corner, lost motivation, and i just stopped using wattpad altogether.
last night (while a little not sober) i decided to log back in and read what little me wrote three years ago. i came to two conclusions:
1. it's not great
BUT
2. man is it fun
rereading this fic made me miss writing fanfiction, even though i'm probably too old for it now. i liked how i was writing these characters and i did think my writing was kinda funny. i feel bad leaving this work unfinished.
first, i thought id just continue writing as if i hadn't disappeared for three years. i quickly realized, though, that from my last drafted chapter onward, the only thing i had been planned on doing next was following the anime timeline.
i have not watched the anime in years. i do not remember the timeline AT ALL.
SO!
i think i'm gonna start publishing a rewritten version of this fic. i plan to keep this version published, no matter what i ultimately do, so no need to worry about that. the reason i'm not dead set on rewriting is because i'm working on an original novel with the intention of getting it published, so that's of course a priority for me. i'm also in uni, working, involved in community theatre, and a full time bf (lol), so i'm a bit busy.
ironically, all of these things stacked against a rewrite (except my relationship ig? lmao) are also the reasons i want to do a rewrite. all of my personal projects right now are done with the intention of it being a serious, viewable thing that people will pay money for. work and school are super important, obviously. i want something i can create for fun and for free, something that's allowed to be bad or cringe.
so, i may rewrite this fic. i'll probably use it as an excuse to rewatch haikyuu too, or maybe to read the manga.
