Chapter 5 A Confession?

Later that night the group were seated at a table in the Hospitals Cafeteria. They were waiting in silence for the employee's to bring them their food. Gou broke the silence...

"Ash, Serena, would it be alright if Chloe and I took your Pokemon to the park for some exercise since neither of you are in the condition to do so?" Gou asked politely.

"I dont see why not." Ash said.

Serena was a bit more nervous as she had just met the couple. Sure she trusted them but she was just a little uncomfortable with it. Ash saw this and put a reassuring hand on he shoulder.

"Gou and Chloe are great with Pokemon." Ash said. "Gou owns the Legendary Pokemon Suicune and around 74 other Pokemon. He takes care of them all and he loves them dearly."

Serena reluctantly nodded. She released her three Pokemon and told them the plan. Ash then released his 5 Pokemon and let Pikachu go to Chloe. Gou and Chloe said goodbye and left with the Pokemon. As soon as the couple left Ash put his plan into action.

"Serena I need to say someth-" Ash was saying when he heard a large ruckus from outside.

Then a large brick flew through the window at nearly unreadable amounts of speed. Before Ash even knew what was happening he felt an odd tingly feeling in his body. He then quickly stuck his hand out and caught the brick. Serena looked beyond concerned and just stared at his eyes. His usually brown eyes had shifted into a shade of blue then quickly shifted back into brown. Ash was bewildered at his reaction time and dropped the brick right onto the floor.

"Serena I need you to get back to our room." Ash said in a shaky voice.

Serena did not question him and went to the room quickly.

'What is happening to me?' Ash thought to himself. 'I have an awful gut feeling in my stomach. I feel as if... Oh no... Not now...'

Ash zoned out. He was in the hospital but he could hear screaming from the outside. He went outside to see fire. Fire that spread quickly. Fire that made so much smoke it blocked the sun. Then from the corner of his eyes he saw something that made him feel weak... It made him weep and cry... He saw blood. Blood that resembles the time his mother dropped a jar of tomato juice... He looked to see where it all came from. When he saw what was there he fell down onto his knees. He saw a pile of his friends and Pokemon. On top of the stack was Serena and Pikachu. They were clearly dead but they had wide smiles... Then Serena's mouth moved.

"You failed us Ash." She spat.

Ash slumped over in agony as he felt a sharp pain in his back. He turned and saw none other than an 11 year old Bonnie with a knife in her hand.

"You should never have left us." Bonnie added.

Ash felt hot tears roll down his face as he decided to lay down. He felt a blunt object hit the side of his torso. He rolled over to see who had done it. He saw a blood covered Clemont. He had murderous eyes.

"You might not find science as amazing when I use it to kill you." Clemont stated coldly.

Ash stood up defensively and looked over to see all his dead friends and Pokemon rise up.

"You failed us." They all said, including the Pokemon. "Give up on your dreams of being a Pokemon master. You were not their to save us when we needed it. You are weak. You are the reason we are like this, you caused us pain and grief when you left. You moved on from us. We called and texted but you never responded. You never cared for us. You only cared for yourself. You never understood how we felt. And now all you will feel will be pain."

"It's not like that!" Ash shouted in a very shaky voice. "In Alola I never had the chance to call back! In my other journeys I never had a smart phone! I only have one as of recently!"

The group of the undead then started throwing sticks and rocks at him.

"Please stop!" Ash shouted. "Please! Please. Please..."

Ash then closed his eyes. He felt dizzy. Slowly he reopened his eyes to be met with Cerulean Blue ones.

"Thank Arceus!" Serena shouted.

"What happened to you dude?" Gou asked.

"You had us all worried." Chloe added.

Ash did not respond. All he did was grab Pikachu and his Pokeballs from his belt. He then returned all of his Pokemon and limped off and out the door at a rather quick pace.

"Ash!" Serena called from a distance.

Ash felt a hot tear run down his face as he continued to limp forward and eventually into the forest and out of sight...

Timeskip (1 month later)

Ash had been hiding in secrecy for a little over a month now. He had gotten to understand all of his Pokemon and everything they said as well. He kept tabs on Serena, Chloe and Gou through spying on them and using Aura which Lucario has been teaching him. His Pokemon never did approve of him storming out though.

"Ash..." Pikachu sighed. "I cant live in secrecy anymore."

Ash snapped his head to Pikachu.

"I have told you many times I did it for their own good." Ash said coldly.

Pikachu has had enough of this madness.

"You did it for your own selfish needs!" Pikachu shouted angrily. "You were scared after that Aura encounter so you ran away and neglected them when they needed you most! When Serena needed you most!"

Ash made his fist glow blue then he punched a hole into a tree.

"I did it to protect them!" Ash shouted back.

"No Ash!" Pikachu retaliated. "You did it because you wanted to protect yourself from your fears! You think that getting away from the people in the nightmare will fix it but really you are only making it come true!"

Ash picked up a large branch and twirled it in between his fingers.

"It's over Pikachu." Ash said. "I cant go back now."

Pikachu jumped onto his friends shoulder and smacked him as hard as he could.

"You idiot!" Pikachu shouted. "This affects me too you know! I was happy with them! We all were! I finally got reunited with the love of my life, Sylveon! She is expecting now too! I was going to be a father but you took that too! She is laying the eggs soon! So make your choice wise-guy! Either pout here and take away my right to be a father or go back to our friends and family! Either way I am going back so make your choice! I hope to see you soon."

And with that Pikachu went running back to civilization to find his FAMILY...
