Ash woke up in total darkness... He could see nothing around him, and everything was silent. Until...
"Pikachu." Pikachu's voice echoed around Ash.
Ash stood up quickly, looking around frantically.
"Pikachu!?" He cried, his voice echoing around the empty space.
Ash cautiously walked forwards. He looked around for any sign of Pikachu and his friends.
"Pika-Chu!!!" Pikachu cried.
Suddenly, Ash found himself in Professor Oak's lab. But something was... odd. Ash saw himself in his old pyjamas, covered in soot. He was holding an angry looking Pikachu, who had just delivered a powerful Thundershock on young Ash. Present Ash smiled to himself. He took a step forwards to get a closer look, but he fell into a dark pit...
"Ash?" A sweet voice called. "Ash wake up!"
Ash sat up quickly, his eyes were wide and he was breathing heavily. He looked around and saw Serena sitting next to him in bed with a concerned look on her face. The bedside lamp was reflecting light off of Serena's blue eyes, making them shimmer. Just looking into her eyes made Ash feel safer and his breathing slowed down to a normal speed.
"Are you alright?" Serena asked kindly.
"I will be once I see Pikachu." Ash sighed.
"Well... that's the thing, Ash." Serena said nervously. "Pikachu just ran out of the room before I woke you up."
"You've got to be kidding me right now!" Ash exclaimed in frustration.
Ash jumped out of bed and sprinted out the door of his room. He entered the lobby of the Pokemon Centre and heard a loud but deep voice from outside yell...
"Dark Void!"
Ash quickly went outside and saw Pikachu facing off against Darkrai, and everything suddenly made sense.
"Pikachu, Electroweb!" Ash commanded.
Pikachu shot his net of electricity in an attempt to pin down the legendary creature, but his attempts were futile as Darkrai broke right through.
"Chosen One, listen to me!" Darkrai yelled.
Ash hesitated for a moment, but reluctantly called Pikachu back to him.
"Spit it out, Darkrai." Ash spat.
"Listen, Kid." Darkrai began. "Time and Space are usually perfectly balanced. But due to recent events, which may or may not be your fault, the universe is unbalanced."
"My fault?! How is it my fault?!" Ash asked in a hurt voice.
"All I can say i-"
Darkrai was cut off by Dialga and Palkia, who grabbed him and pulled him through a portal which quickly disappeared. Ash stared in shock for a moment, eventually feeling his emotions take control again.
"What the hell just happened?" Ash asked himself.
An explanation is what our young hero needs. But little does he know, he might have to wait until the next story unfolds...

Uhh...
Sorry for taking so long to get this out. But uhh... The story is over! Very unsatisfying, I know! But a sequel will be started soon (I hope)! While you wait, you might as well check out my other stories! (specifically Power Of Love and its sequel) But bare with me, things have not been the easiest lately, and i'm so sorry... I hope that you all can forgive me and be patient whilst I figure out what I can do for the sequel to this story. But once again, please forgive me! Without a dad and with school starting up again it has been difficult for me to work on 2-3 stories. I will try to make things right, but for the last time on THIS STORY... THANK YOU FOR READING AND I WILL SEE YOU ALL AGAIN, VERY, VERY SOON!
As we bid farewell to this story, let us raise the sails and set course to new adventures!
As the journey continues...
