Serena's POV

When I awoke from my unconscious state I felt the cold air around me. When I looked around I found myself in an old and dirty prison cell. Then my eyes fell on a smiling brunette with the same lighting bolt birth marks Ash has. She looked a little older than me by maybe just a year or two.

"Hello!" The brunette shouted happily. "My name is Aurora Ketchum. What's yours?" 

I was confused as all can be. Ash is an only child.

"H-hello..." I stuttered nervously. "I-I am Serena Yvonne."

Aurora leapt up from her bed and helped me up.

"What are you doing here?" I asked. "Were you captured too? And by any chance are you related to Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town."

"I have been here almost since the day I was born." Aurora responded. "And yes, Ash Ketchum is my little brother."

"B-but how?" I asked. "Ash's mother only gave birth to one child as I am aware of."

Aurora chuckled at my statement.

"Your right about that." Aurora said. "Ash's mother did only give birth to one child. I have a different mother and my father is Giovanni, leader of Team Rocket."

I felt my face turn from a confused face into one of anger. Aurora saw this and decided to clarify.

"Ash and I have the same father." She said. "Our father was married to my mother who divorced him. My father took custody of me and then married Delia Ketchum. They then had Ash, but when Delia discovered that he was the leader of Team Rocket she divorced him. So Delia was forced to raise Ash on his own and our father took me here. He was trying to train me to be a member of Team Rocket but when I refused he imprisoned me here and only brings me one meal a day and a cup of water."

I felt pity for her. I knew how it felt to have a bad dad.

"Do you know the reason you are here?" Aurora asked suddenly.

Truth be told I had no clue why I was captured.

"No not really." I responded.

Aurora sighed.

"I am sorry but Ash and You are in great danger thanks to my father." Aurora said. "He captured you to lure my brother in and when the time is right... BANG! I am so sorry this is happening to you. I feel pity for Ash and the rest of his friends. Always being chased around by those 3 lunatics."

"How did you know about that?" I asked.

Aurora chuckled and explained.

"I knocked one of the guards out and I made a mold of his key." She said. "So every night when the lights are out I sneak to the surveillance room and watch everything. My father equipped every city and forest with spy cams to track their locations."

"That explains it." I muttered.

"Can you tell me some story's about my brother." Aurora asked.

I nodded and smiled kindly.

"One time during an attack on Ninja Village in the Kalos region his Greninja and it did this weird thing called a Bond Phenomenon. It only has happened to one other person!"

I saw Aurora smile happily. She then told me to get some rest so we could sneak out later.

Very short chapter I know!

I needed to upload something today though.

And I thought maybe adding a new character would be a good way to start the rescue faze.
