Ash and Serena had just landed in Virmillion City upon Charizard. Ash returned him and took Serena's hand and lead her to the mall. It was rather large, in fact the largest in Kanto. Once they got into the mall Serena's eyes shimmered in wonder. Hundreds of stores, thousands of products! Ash looked around seeming a bit nervous. People were staring at him in wonder. Serena noticed he was a bit uneasy and gave his hand a comforting squeeze. He looked to her and gave a small smile. She returned the smile and leaned her head onto his shoulder. They started making their way through the mall, passing many shops and food stands. Eventually they made it to an expensive clothing store. First they wanted to browse around for Serena's new outfit. She tried on many outfits and went through each section but to no avail. Ash on the other hand got rather lucky.

It is quite similar to the outfit he wore through Kanto and Johto but with a few changes. Serena thought Ash looked amazing. Ash on the other hand just saw it as clothes that were comfortable and durable. Ash paid for the clothing and found Serena waiting at the exit. He took her hand and they soon arrived at the next location. It was a store with clothes only for women. They were more formal than what he would consider good journey attire, but Serena managed just fine last time. She eventually found two outfits that she wanted to try on. Once she was done putting on the first outfit she showed Ash.

Ash could not help but put a little blush on his face. Serena did a little twirl then gave him a soft smile.
"How do I look?" She asked.
"Like a true queen." Ash responded.
Serena blushed but shook it off. She then turned and re-entered the changing room. Once she emerged again Ash just smiled. He felt his cheeks heat up and he had a fuzzy feeling in his stomach.
