Chapter 16

I have never felt so happy and contented in my life like this before. I always had my struggles and things that I need to worry about but everything just seems to fall in to their right places. Parang dati lang, hindi ako nauubusan ng mga problema at hinanakit but now, I feel like I am the happiest person alive. It felt good that you are able to let go of the baggage of the past. Those baggages that keep on bringing you down are finally gone.

It felt like breathing again.

Napangiti ako nang makita si Kiel na nakasandal sa sasakyan niya habang mayroong kinakalikot sa phone. He looked too occupied with it kaya naman hindi niya siguro napansin ang paglapit ko. I kissed him on his right cheek which caught his attention.

"Huwag ka ngang nambibigla!" he laughed before opening the car's door for me.

"Sa'n tayo?" I excitedly asked him.

"You'll find out soon," he replied planting a soft kiss on my lips before turning to driver's seat.

"You're wearing it," I commented.

"Wearing what?"

"The perfume I gave you."

He chuckled and started driving. I actually gave him the perfume which I named 'Kiel' as a birthday gift.

"Well, it has my name on it so I feel like I am responsible to wear it. I honestly feel like ako lang dapat ang gumamit no'n, e. Do you also sell that perfume?"

"Yeah, but they're limited."

"I'm jealous!" he faked a frown, face focused on the road.

"What?" I chuckled.

"I said I'm jealous! Dapat ako lang ang mayroong ganoong perfume sa buong mundo. Akala ko pa naman ginawa mo talaga 'yon para sa akin kasi pangalan ko 'yong nandoon. You hurt my feelings again, Jade!"

"Ang drama mo, hindi bagay sa 'yo," I said, laughing. "I was thinking of you when I made that perfume so you still kind of own it."

He immediately laughed his ass so hard when he heard what I said which made my forehead crease.

"What are you laughing at? Ginagawa mo na naman siguro akong katatawanan diyan sa utak mo, 'no?" I accused.

"Sabi ko na, e! Pakipot ka lang talaga noon, e!" he said then laughed again.

"What pakipot are you talking about?"

He tried so hard to calm himself first from laughing.

"You mentioned that you started creating that perfume when you were still in Australia! 'Di ba? Noong binigay mo 'yon sa akin?"

I suddenly felt my cheeks turning red with what he said. Oh my gosh! Sana pala hindi na lang iyon ang iniregalo ko! He'll surely tease me!

"And you said earlier that you were thinking of me when you created that perfume! Ikaw ha? Matagal na pala akong nandyan sa isip mo tapos nag-galit-galitan ka pa nong nasa vacation tayo!" humalakhak ulit siya ng malakas. I glared at him.

"Tumigil ka kung ayaw mong yakapin kita!"

"Oh, I would surely love your arms around me, Jade," he said still chuckling.

"Oo, yayakapin kita. Yayakapin kita sa leeg kapag hindi ka tumigil."

"Tara?" Kiel smiled and stretched his hands towards me. I'm still confused kung ano ang gagawin namin dito pero hindi ko mapigilan ang sarili ko na ngumiti. Inabot ko ang kamay niya at sabay na naglakad papasok sa simbahan kung saan kami unang nagkita.

He was squeezing my hand gently. I noticed that his hands were a little cold while holding mine.

"Are you okay?" I asked him. He glanced at me.
