Walking out of the backdoor to the nightclub, I look around the streets spotting Alex's car. Waving me over he climbs into the driver's seat.

As I climb in he asks, "How'd it go?"

"Starting tomorrow night I will work as security detail and as a backup bartender if any of the other 4 bartenders on their payroll cant make it," I state.

"Sounds like a pretty solid deal."

I laugh, "Yeah it is actually. Considering that Trinity is the hottest nightclub in this city. Anyone that is famous is already Whitelisted as a VIP. From that alone, if I get a chance to bartend the tips alone will be enough."

"If you ever get to bartend."

I roll down the window as he starts the car, resting my arm on the door, "Yeah, the bartending was optional but if they considered it, then it must mean that they don't think four of them is enough."

"I mean, I wouldn't want to work till 4 am every day."

Driving a little we then stop at a nearby restaurant, "You eaten yet?"

I shake my head, "Not yet," checking the time it is already 1 PM, "So much for breakfast."

After finding a pretty close place to park, he then climbs, "Sheesh. Look at this car," he then gestures to the one we parked next to, "It is more expensive than all the money I made and spent in my lifetime!"

I arch my brow, "I would say the same but I think the money that goes into the military ordinance and how much of that I dropped would probably amount to at least a couple of these cars."

He then turns to me, "You sure you weren't discharged?"

"Do you really take me for an idiot that would flip a tank? Or much less be allowed to be around something as expensive?" the answer is yes.

He then returns his gaze back to the car, "Maybe I shouldn't answer that."

I rub the bridge of my nose, "Yeah, please don't."

He then states, "This is a Lamborghini Aventador if I am correct."

I then shrug, "You are the car freak. I will take your word for it."

He laughs as we head into the restaurant, pushing through the door we take a seat at the back of the restaurant. The waitress comes over with a bright smile placing our menus in front of us.

"Good morning! Can I start you two off with something to drink?" as she asks, she digs her hands into her apron pulling out a pen and a notebook.

I nod, "Coffee, please," I then turn to the menu.

"Same for me," he then grabs his menu as well.

She nods, "Alright, I will bring those over shortly."

My jaw almost drops as soon as I see the prices for the breakfast category, "The fuck are these so expensive for?"

He then looks up from the menu, "What did you expect? A car that expensive is standing outside in a practically empty restaurant. We are in the high-life district. This is as cheap as it gets around here."

I groan, "I thought we were friends... here you are already trying to put me on the streets."

"I have been keeping you off the streets!"

We both laugh, "But seriously though. At this rate, I will just buy a doughnut and order 4 boxes of pizza for the exact same price that I would get for one side-dish."

"Don't overreact so much," he shakes his head, "Just enjoy the food. It's on me."

"What do you do exactly?"
