Was it the right thing to do? Maybe. That is one thing I will admit, it is a weird confliction between wondering whether I should chase something faster than me or let go of something that wants to be chased.

How am I supposed to know? There is nothing pointing towards any of the two. This is just an aftermath of taking some time to consider the entire ordeal. A few hours ago I was about ready to go back to the army.

After I calmed myself from doing the worst thing possible just to spite someone and having a good head on my shoulders... the best I can do is just continue forward - without her.

"Hey (Y/N). Our usual is not here tonight and well we are going to need to separate the raffle from the ones paying our salaries."

"What?"

He chuckles, "Right. Sorry new guy," he lifts his hand, "Tim isn't here for the week so we need you to just take care of the VIP section. The list is at the entrance to that area."

"Alright," I was going to be the front of the house but looks like I have been 'upgraded' for the week until Tim comes back.

Trinity, I have roamed around to just get the place etched into my memory. When it is full, it is like the entire building shifts and changes. Things that you remembered to be somewhere is suddenly a few shifts to the side.

This specific VIP section is a little off from the trail, to a little plateau above the people below with their own little VIP bar and area to themselves, away from the 'raffle'. This is a place for rich people... where the highest of high come to unwind. Either they are so high on the social ladder or they just own the place.

What the fuck?!

I look at the list with a sudden stinging sensation in my core. Right. Of course. Why wouldn't it be the entire K/DA? Someone set this shit up. Oh, I will just take some time away cause that would be best for both of us - then somehow this happens. This is cursed... I am cursed.

After letting out a long sigh, I rest against the side of the doorway towards the VIP area. I take another look at the list as the only two entries are 'K/DA' and 'Whoever they want inside.'

I look up for a second from the list, lock eyes with someone golden yellow and then drop my gaze back to the list. I furrow my brow as I lift my gaze back from the list as I realise that they are actually here.

"Umm - come in?"

"Smooth, (Y/N). I think with that performance I should move you here permanently," she winks at me as she steps inside, "Oh and he is with us," she calls after.

Our eyes lock for a brief moment but we pass each other too quickly for something to form from the exchange. I adjust my gaze then to the man tailing them. I adjust my stare as he shoots me the exact same look.

Yeah, I shouldn't care. We aren't close. We weren't for years. How many times more do I have to remind myself until it sinks in? With that thought, I glance over as the five of them settle around the area - I have to because a part of me still wants to hold on to something of the past.

An hour into my new shift and I can imagine that this could be worse. I could be standing outside in the cold trying to tell people why they aren't on the list. It can pretty much range from "you are not famous enough" or "You and what money?"

"Hey," I hear a voice from the VIP area.

"Can I help you?" I look her up and down, this must be Akali.

She sighs, "Currently in damage control. Mind if we talk?" she looks behind her, "Not in there though."

I nod, she then walks past me. I narrow my eyes at her but still follow her through the building she stops by Seth, "Mind taking over at the VIP section?"

He looks at Akali, the nerve of this girl.

I then ask him, "Just for a while. I have to help her with something-"

He rubs the bridge of his nose, "Fine. I know you are the boss' girls but we aren't here to be slaves."

She doesn't answer as got what she wanted. Pushing through to the back area and into the staff parking lot. It was still pretty cold but manageable enough with what I was wearing.

"It's cold out here-"

"I don't plan on reciting vows with you out here anyway so I don't mind it much."

"Then if it wasn't going to take that long why out here?"

She laughs, "You can only imagine how Evelynn and Akali would react the moment they see me with you. I won't hear the end of it - besides it would hurt if I did something like that because I don't plan on telling them about this exchange."

I then nod, "Then? What did you drag me out here for?"

"Damage control. Evelynn came home and she was pretty pissed off. She is also the reason you are in the VIP section if you haven't noticed," she then chuckles, "All that... I wonder what she was planning on doing considering that they haven't made a single move."

"Okay but coming back to my question-"

"Right. Sorry. I don't know exactly what happened at the party but Ahri got flustered and panicked. She ended up saying something that even now she is regretting."

I narrow my eyes in disbelief, "You are fucking with me-"

"I wish I was. I had to stop myself from laughing at first," she then continues, "I don't know what your intentions are but if she is that caught up with it then it must mean she is begging to talk it out. Maybe do that?"

"You realise that all I have to go on is believing you."

"Yeah, but there is enough evidence, right? Why else would Evelynn who is so overprotective over Ahri ever come to you about her?"

Realisation hits like a brick, "Huh. Maybe I have gotten a bit stupider over the years."

She smirks, "Maybe huh?" she then turns to me, "I am not saying that it won't be ugly but you two need to talk it out. That doesn't mean picking it off from ten years ago."

"I am aware of that," I then turn to her, "You probably know about me don't you?"

She looks at me through the corner of her eye, "Family... it can sometimes kill you," she then presses herself off from the wall, "Well I didn't come to discuss family or your past. I am not the person you should be talking to either, right?" she leaves with a smirk.

Not given much time to react, all I can do at this point is consult myself within my thoughts. Heading back to my post - to wait for an opening.
