Up until now, I didn't realize how painful it all was. The pressure, the anxiety - at some point it just started leaching my energy and everything I was doing. But this... the time we spent just clearing the air was what I needed.

I felt fine with it all, the reality is still trying to catch up with me but even now I am still delirious.

Though... I had one issue. Ahri is technically wearing my clothes with what she wore in a plastic bag - I can only imagine what comments will be heading our way. Maybe they will understand or maybe they won't.

I won't let it bother me.

I turn my gaze to Ahri, "Does Eve know? You know... about you staying the night?"

"She does..." she smiles at me sheepishly.

"So... she does but she is going to make a fuss about it."

"She knows that I went to you to make up and I suppose she trusts you enough not to do something that would lead to her starting a witch hunt," she glances to me briefly before turning her eyes to the road, "If she didn't she would have come to get me and you would have had a few million calls."

"Lucky me," I laugh, "Then an important question..."

"Hmm?"

"Where do we go from here?"

She tilts her head to the sides as she thinks about it, "I should say where we are right now should be fine. We don't know what unresolved issues we may have and then we take it from there?"

"Sound about right," I shoot my gaze towards the passing cars.

"Did you hope it would end differently?" she asks, in a careful tone.

I shake my head, still keeping my gaze to myself, "No. This is better than the alternative," I didn't realize my tone at first but the more I think about it I realize I sounded utterly disappointed. I mean... who can blame me?

"Well," she giggles, "I feel the same way. This is better than not being able to look each other at all."

I return my gaze at all, "Or needing to become drunk to be able to say something."

She pouts, "It was meant to be a confidence boost. You took forever to get to me so I started to become sleepy."

"I came as quickly as I could - unless you thought you asked for me earlier," she doesn't respond to me at all, "Guess I hit that one the head."

"Shush you," she smiles at me through the corner of her eye.

We reach their place, it is a bit smaller than I expected it to be considering Evelynn's tastes but I guess she got overruled. Though I bet the place is still expensive - a two-story house with enough rooms for a pretty active family.

Driving into their yard she parks in one of the three garages at the back of the house.

"How many does Eve own?"

"The garages? Those two," she gestures to the two close to each other, walking up to the back entrance she gestures for me to go in, "Well... welcome to our home, don't mind any messes if there are any."

"You make it sound like it is a random factor."

"It... sometimes is," she chuckles nervously.

Walking through the corridors and hallways we pass a few closed rooms into the kitchen which has a doorless opening into the living room right next to it. This place looks expensive - the life of luxury is one to dream for I guess.

She rests her hands on her hips, "Something to drink while you wait? I still need to get dress and prepare for my schedule."

I lift my shoulders, "I am fine. Do what you need to - I will just hang around here or in there while I wait."
