Standing outside in the back where the staff of Trinity parks. The air is cold but not colder than usual and I am thankful for that. I can hear the music from out here and can only imagine what is happening on the inside.

I am just outside on my break, I actually took it a bit earlier because I wanted some fresh air. It was getting pretty stuffy in there and it felt like I was seeing double. At some point, I was wondering if I took something.

"Want a smoke?"

I look at him with amusement, "Not tonight."

He laughs, "You say that every night."

"I am not down bad yet. I'll let you know when I need one of those."

"Ah, that type of smoker," he arches his brow, "You going through the waterworks lately?"

"Dunno," I shrug, "Right now I am in the middle of something I don't quite understand Seth."

He rubs his nose, "Don't bother trying to understand women. Sometimes they are as simple as it comes and other times more intricate than our nervous system."

"Yeah? That sounds super close to someone that has had his fair share."

He shrugs, "Not to brag but - I have a pretty solid understanding of how my wife's head works. It did take a few years of deciphering a language that doesn't exist.  Which is only natural cause we men are simple creatures."

"And this all leads to?"

He smiles again, "I actually forgot the point I was trying to make," he smiles sheepishly as he rubs the back of his neck.

"Right," I laugh, "Don't stress too much about me though."

He then ashes the cigarette as he takes one long pull before tossing it to the side, "Well... all I can say is. The ones that are hardest to chase are often worth the trouble. Especially the ones that built you up from the ground."

I can tell he talks from experience - maybe a rough background but I won't be the one to make those assumptions. The same can be made for me and why I ended up like I did.

I blame only one person and that is myself. Okay maybe not just myself - I chuckle to myself as push myself from the wall to head back to work.

I stop near the back exit and quickly pull out my phone. Heading straight to messages I look at my contacts, staring blankly at Ahri's name. It has been five days since she last sent a message that she will let me know when she has time.

Either she forgot - or she is still busy - or worse.

Dropping it back into my pocket, I walk inside as one of my co-workers approaches me.

"The VIP section is reserved for some individuals that aren't K/DA."

I tilt my head, "Something happen?"

He shakes his head, "No. K/DA won't be here tonight just as the rest of the week. So Evelynn decided to rent the VIP section out to some people so here is the new list," he hands it to me, "We don't know about the rest of the week."

I take it, "Thanks for letting me know," I nod, "Let me know if there is something else."

"Will do," he then laughs, "You did just miss two idiots fighting near the bar."

"Annoying or?"

"A good samaritan and a dude annoying our bartender. To bad rules are rules," he sighs.

"Poor dude thought he was looking out for her but getting in a fight only got him thrown out along with the other idiot," I shake my head, "Well nothing we can do about it now."
