Today was the first day of Sam's fifth year at Hogwarts. It started off pretty hectic. Everyone was running around the burrow, packing the last of their stuff along with trying to look somewhat presentable before they left. Arthur had put an extension spell on the Ford Anglia, making sure there was enough room for the Weasley children, along with Harry, Hermione and Sam herself.

Bill and Charlie tagged along to wave them all off. Percy had to work at the ministry, so he couldn't join. Sam was excited about starting a new term, but nerves submerged her as the eldest Weasley boys kept on telling them how they envied the lot.

"What are you talking about?" Ginny grumbled as curiosity began to overtake.

"You better tell us what's going on," Fred practically growled at his older brothers, sharing the same annoyance as Ginny.

Samantha just enjoyed watching all of them bickering over something daft like this. It was doubtless just something the boys had come up with to tease their younger siblings. She chuckled at Ron trying to threaten Charlie, which ended up with him most likely having nightmares about dragons that night.

George wasn't really paying attention. At Least, not to any of his family's quarrel. He was glancing over at Sam, completely drunken by the way a few strings of her hair twirled along her cheeks. The wrinkles around her eyes when she laughed at something captivated him, the sound gripping him by the heart.

"I'm afraid you've already said too much, now off you go. Be safe. Do not, and I mean it children, make me have to send a howler because of your behaviour. Behave yourselves." Molly spoke as she ushered every single one of them over to the train.

"Wait!" Ginny practically screamed,"Does this have to do with us not wanting to come home for christmas?"

Molly gulped nervously as she finished giving Ron a peck on his head. Her eyes were wide as she was taken aback by her only daughter's cleverness.

"No, it doesn't. I don't know what you're talking about, now off you go." She pushed the last off her ducklings on the train and gave them a big warm smile. "How I'm going to miss you all, my dearies."

Samantha could see a tear glazing her eye, so she hopped off the steps of the wagon and gave her one last big hug.

"Oh, thank you dear. Now get on there before they leave without you." Samantha stayed in the entry of the wagon, watching as the doors closed before her. George stood a bit behind her, waiting for her to join him and his brother in their usual spot. Just as the doors were inching together, Charlie's head popped up just in front of it.

"It most definitely has something to do with Christmas!" he yelled, which led him to being whacked in the back of the head by his mother.

A deep voice broke her out of her thoughts. She turned around to see George snickering at his mum, holding the handle of his bag with his school robes and pranking plans.

His look shifted upon her, causing a warmth to spread over her insides.

"Let's go find the others yeah?"

They found Fred, Lee and Ella in a compartment together, bickering like they always did.

"I see your ego has inflated over the summer Frederick. It seems it's time to hang out with me again, let's see how long it takes to make you insecure again." the blonde snickered as Fred basically grumbled.

"Oh sure Ella, I don't see your loverboy around here. What happened? Is he no longer interested?"

Normally, Sam would have slapped the person who said such a thing to her best friend in the face, but this was a different situation. Ella and Fred did love each other, very much. They just exhibited it in a whole other way. For example, making fun of each other.
