Chapter 26: Confused

Tyler POV:

Vanessa left the car around 30 minutes ago and there is still no sign of her. And I was starting to get worried. It's been a few months since I first met Vanessa, and at first let me admit I wasn't the nicest to her, but the more I got to know her the more I wanted to be around her. Somehow when I'm with her I forget everything bad that has happened to me, my dad being an alcoholic, my sister being in hospital and my mom being well a mom

Shit wait,

What is something happened to her inside?

Tyler there are police officers everywhere, she's fine.

What if she's not? I kept asking myself.

Suddenly the car door opened, and Vanessa entered the car slamming the door. I looked at her and she looked confused, angry and sad at the same time.

Mix emotion.

"Are you alright?" I asked.

But she didn't answer.

What should I do?

"Okay, I'll just drive home."

"Wait, what happened?" asked Daniel whispering.

"I don't know dude; she hasn't said a word to me since we left" I confessed.

I see Daniel walking into Vanessa's room and sitting besides her and whispering something to Vanessa. She looked at me, and I could see pain in her eyes

What did her father say or do?

Did he confess of murdering his own wife?

Tyler stop, Nessa said it wasn't him

But, what if it was and she didn't know either

Tyler stop it. I argued with myself

"Do you want as to give you sometime alone Nessa?" I asked

"No!" she said taking a deep breath.

She took another deep breath before continuing.

"I spoke to my dad, he told me to take the hard drive to the scorpions" A great tremor overtook her as tears of anger raced down her cheeks.

I'm confused isnt this what she wanted to do?

"He- He also told me he told me I have a brother" she finished.

She has a what now?

I didn't know that!

"A brother?" Daniel asked in disbelief.

"He didn't tell me his name, he swore he doesn't know his name." A great sob escaped her, and she covered her face with shaking hands.

I hate seeing Vanessa like this. I wish there was something I could do.

"He told me my mom cheated on him before I was born with Vladimir Smirnov." The sound of wailing and suffering echoed throughout the house.

"he- he said he is a year older than me" she added.

Wow, I wasn't expecting all of this. with Vladimir, isn't that the bad guy she is trying to put away? and isn't that the same guy she thinks killed her mom? I mean if they have a kid together why kill her? I have so many questions and I know Vanessa has them as well and there is no one who can answer that for us. I got up from where I was sitting and walked to Vanessa. I set next to her and gave her a tight and long hug.

"I'm sorry Vanessa" I whispered

Believe it or not, this is a lot to take in. Finding out you have a brother, and that his father is the most dangerous and wanted man in the USA and also the man who ordered someone to murder your mom and blame it on your father. A man who ruined your life and took everything from you.

Ring ring ring

I looked down and saw my phone ringing. My mom popped up.

Shit

"'Sorry, its my mom I need to take this" I said walking out of Vanessas room.

"Hey mom" I said.

"Tyler, come to the hospital now!" she yelled over the phone.

It's my sister.

So many thoughts crossed my mind.

Is she dead? Did she wake up?

I walked back into the room and looked at Daniel and Vanessa.

"I need to go!" I said coming out more like a whisper.

"What, dude Nessa needs us" Daniel replied.

"My sister!" is all I could say. Daniel's face turned pale and suddenly he said "Go!, let us know when you get there."

"Tyler Scott here to see Tessa Scott" I said to the lady standing behind the front desk

"Room 3-" she was saying before I walked away

Room 317, I know

I rushed to her room, hoping she is okay.

I took a deep breath before entering her room. I opened the door and saw my mom sitting besides my sister holding her hand. The heart Monitor was still on, I could still hear my sisters heartbeat.

I'm glad she is okay.

"What's wrong mom?" I asked.

"She moved her hand" I mom answered happily

"That's fantastic mom" I replied walking toward my sisters bed.

We've been waiting for this day for a year now, meaning she might be waking up soon. My mom and I set in there with her for a while. talking to her and updating her with how things changed since she fell asleep.

"I'm going to get some coffee. Do you want some?" asked my mom

"Yes please" I answered. and just like that she left, leaving me with my other half.

"Tessa, I can't wait for you to wake up. I miss you so much. Today I took Nessa to see her father in prison and her father told her she has a brother and none of us knew about not even her." I spoke. "She is angry like very angry, and I wish I could do something, but I just dont know what. I wish you were awake to help me and tell me what to do. You always gave the best advises and you always knew the right things to do." I murmured.

"Well, the boys and I have been practicing everyday and we're getting better. Daniel and I became closer which is fantastic. I haven't gotten injured yet" I joked. I knew how worried she would get when every I would get injured and she always stuck by myside even when I wasnt the nicest to her.

I miss her so much.
