Chapter 21: First game

Vanessa POV:

I was walking down the school corridors with Daniel, Cole, the twins and Alex and people just couldn't stop staring for some reason

Why the hell must they always stare?

"V, did you find something?" Daniel asked whispering to me so the boys wouldn't hear

"No, I did even open the box yet. I don't know what the pin is, I've tried everything. My birthday, Emily's, my mom even his but nothing" I whispered back at him

"We have a game next week, we need to practice today, but I'll try to come to your house sometime today to help you open it" he suggested

"Boys, practice is straight after school, don't be late. We have to use every second we have to get better." Daniel confirmed with the boys walking in front of us.

"Yes Captain!" all the boys responded. I'm surprised they actually call him Captain, I thought they would have called him Daniel or something.

"Danny, I have to go to Math, I'll see you later." I said hugging him goodbye and waiving at the boys

"See you late V, oh and if you see Tyler tell him Practice is straight after school" Daniel said. I smiled and shook my head yes and walked to class. I was nervous, the teacher was going to give us our tests back and I hope I got my C. I walked in class and saw Tyler sitting on his usual desk with his head buried in his arms. I walked and set on mine which is right next to his.

"Hey" I said taking my books out of my bag

"Hey" he said lifting his head up. I had a good look at him and let me just say he looked exhausted, as if he hasn't slept in days

"Are you alright?" I asked. Tyler shook his head and looked forward ignoring my presence. The lesson started and teacher talked about how many people failed the test and how many people will probably have to repeat.

I hope I'm not one of those people

Mrs Griffin started giving people their tests. When she got to me she looked at my mark and looked at me than put my test facing downwards

Shit

I was too scared to look. I looked over at Tyler and he got an A*, of course he did

He looked at me and smiled, waiting for me to tell him what I got. I took a deep breath, closed my eyes and turned the paper.

I opened my eyes slowly and saw a B

"I got a B!" I cheered looking over at Tyler

"I mean, you were tutored by the most handsome and the smartest person in this school, what else did you expect?" he responded with a smirk on his face

He was right about the smartest part, the handsome part Im not so sure about that

"Thank you, Tyler" I said smiling at him

"Anytime V" he replied

"Oh, by the way Daniel said practice is straight after school" I said looking at the exhausting Tyler who set next to me

"Okay" he answered. then, suddenly his phone started to ring, he got up and left the class to answer the call. After a few minutes he came rushing back, got his bag and looked at me

"Tell Daniel I won't make it to practice today" and just like that he left the class, and I didnt see or hear from him for the rest of the day.

It was now after school and I was watching the boys practice, they were really good actually. I set on the benches and watched them play for 2 hours. After all the sweaty and smelly guys were done with practice, they made their way to the locker room and I waited in the parking lot for Daniel
