Chapter 45: Unexpected

Tyler's POV:

"Good, you may join the team again" he finished

"Luca, may i have a quick word with you??" i asked after Daniel and Vanessa left to join back the group

"Yeah"

"Can I go in with the team?" I finally asked

"You are aware that Vanessa will literally murder you and me for letting you join!" He reassured

"I know, but I want to be there for her. the first time Alex got hold of her I couldn't help her or be there for her and this time I do. I want to be there" I confirmed

"Alright, she better not come at me after this" he replied "You will get in the car with the back up team and when we arrive you will go in with us and hopefully she will only realise when we are already all inside so she wont send you back"

"Thanks" I said before leaving to join the team once again

I joined the team and after a while we all made our way to the cars. I joined the backup team while we drove to the warehouse. once we arrived at the warehouse I made my way to where Luca and Vanessa were standing. I was trying to be as quiet as I could possibly be.

"They will cut the signals soon, meaning our radios or phone will not work" explained Luca "Stay together... lets move"

I sneak up behind them, followed them into the warehouse and hid behind a huge container with the rest of the team. Shortly, Vladimir enters the warehouse followed by two ginormous bodyguards

"Hello father" spoke Alex from somewhere

"Aleksandr where are you?" His father wondered

Alex comes out of the dark and walks towards his father

"I thought you were dead! How is this possible?" Vladimir wondered

you know things that usually happen in movies, something you wouldn't expect in you daily normal teenage lives.

"Well surprised father. I'm very much alive" Alex sarcastically announced "Now father, you have told me the story of what you have done to my mother, and I definitely was not proud of that, but I came here to forgive you and ask for you blessing to return to the Mafia and hopefully take over it one day"

Is he being serious right now? I really hope this is part of the plan, If Alex takes over the Mafia this wont end well. Both Alex and his father stood tall towering over each other, they stood in silence for a while, and honestly I became impatient

"Well? are you going to say something or am I wasting my time? Alex spoke louder

"Aleksandr, my son. I didn't agree to meet up here for forgiveness, I know you want something in return. So what is it?" Vladimir spoke

"My mother back" Alex spoke

"I'm afraid I can't do that son" He answered

"Exactly, what I want isn't something money cant buy and it isn't something threats cant get either. So no father I didn't come here to beg you but instead for revenge" Alex said

the second he said revenge Luca, Vanessa and the others came out of their hiding places and shot both security guards. leaving Vladimir speechless.

"Vanessa, its so nice to finally meet you!" He announced laughing

Vanessa didn't hesitate, and pulled the trigger aiming for his left leg. Vladimir in the other hand took this better than I expected, he absorbed the trauma, swallowing the pain, then kicked his way slowly back to the surface.

"Vanessa let me tell you something, you remind me of your mother. In fact you might be more of a bitch than she was" he said then suddenly another gun was shot, and this time it wasn't Vanessa, it was me. I came out from the dark revelling myself. Vanessa looked confused and worried. My heart raced as I walked toward Vladimir, I look over at Vanessa and she seemed distressed and solemn. I ducked from her interrogative eyes and focused on Vladimir.

"And you must be Tyler, a brave man aren't you?" he said laughing of pain

"Enough Father!" Alex ordered. Vladimir reached for his jacket and before any of us could react it was too late. on the floor laid Alex with a bullet right through his head, and then another gun was fired. Not by me nor Vanessa but by Luca

What just happened

"Alex!" Yelled Vanessa running toward him

"No, no, no" Vanessa said repeatedly hugging his body. I know she hated him, but deep down she knew he was her brother. I rushed toward her and hugged her as tight as I could. She sobbed in my arm

"Why does everyone die around me" she cried

"It's okay Vanessa, lets get you out of here" I said helping her up.

"What happened. we heard gun shots and we came right out" Daniel said running toward us

"He-He's dead" I great temor overtook her

Poor Vanessa, I didn't want things to end this way. she has been through so much and I hurts seeing her in so much pain. I wish I could do something to take it all away.

"Luca?" Daniel asked

"Alex" Vanessa said

"Oh Nessa, I'm so sorry you had to see that" Daniel said hugging her. A great sob escaped her, and she covered her face with shaking hands.

"Everything is clear sir" said a girl running toward us. I turn around and see Luca standing behind me. He looked shook and in disbelief.

"Lets go" Luca announced, walking past us ignoring Vanessa who cried in Daniel's arms.

the drive back to the Scorpions safe house was quiet, no one dared to talk about what had happened tonight. Vanessa set besides me and Luca in front of me in the passengers sit, yet no one dared to look at each other. Once we finally reached the house, we parked the cars outside and made our way inside. we put our equipment down and everyone got ready to go their separate ways.

"Listen up everyone!" Luca announced "Thank you all for doing a great job today, I know it didn't not go as plan but it was unexpected." he looked over at Vanessa "Nessa, I'm really sorry about what happened tonight. I should have never let you go in. and I'm sorry I failed you, I couldn't protect him"

"It's not you fault Luca, we were not expecting that serial killer to kill his own son" Vanessa said while making her way to Luca and hugging him

"Thank you all so much for the help today, and I apologise I put you all in danger" Vanessa said looking around "Have a great night" she finished

She walked toward me and Daniel and gave us a signal that we should leave. I grab my bag and followed her outside. we get into the car and drive home

"Burgers?" asked Daniel from the backseat. I look over at Vanessa and waited for her to say something

"You two can go, I'm not really hungry. Just drop me off at home" She said

I hate seeing her like this. I wish I could do something to help
