"Come on Katniss" Peeta calls from downstairs of our unnecessarily enormous house.

We are having dinner at a fancy restaurant, and then Peeta is taking me for a surprise. Peeta decided he wanted a date night, and told my I had to dress up.

My dark brown hair hangs below my shoulders, slightly wavy as it dances in the wind. I wear a red silk dress, that hangs between my knees and hips, and underneath a matching black underwear set. I don't know what will happen tonight. And pair it with dainty black heels. Typically, I despise heels, but I think Peeta likes them and he's so excited for tonight I don't want to disappoint. Besides they're only small. I even made the effort of putting on minimal make up.

"Katniss please." Peeta calls and he stomps his way up the stairs and enters our bedroom.

"Do you want me to get dressed up or not?" I ask him sarcastically has I add the last bit of mascara. I turn around and his face lightens into a beautiful smile. "Katniss, your so beautiful."

"I'm not." I say looking down at the scars I earned from war up my arms. Peeta sees this, moves my hand away from my arm and puts his arms around me waist. "Your scars only make you more beautiful." He says.

I have tried many times, starting at myself in the bathroom mirror to see what Peeta sees in me. I have scars all over my body, and I'm just not attractive in general, and I'm crazy. But everyday he non stops compliments me. I smile as I lean in for a hug.

"Ready to go?" I answer.

"Ready? I've been waiting for half an hour!" He says with a slight smirk. I smile as I pull away from his embrace and we set off, walking to the restaurant.

The calm breeze of the night air makes the walk delightful. We do a bit of window shopping as we walk past all the shops that still have their lights on, but are starting to close for the night as it is getting dark now.

We enter the restaurant, which is lit by candlelight. It's so beautiful, Peeta definitely chose the perfect restaurant. "Peeta this is amazing." I whisper as we are guided to our table. He gives my hand a little squeeze. "Anything for you." He replies.

As we are looking through the menu, I realise I should have brought my jacket. Peeta must see me shivering in the coldness. "Are you cold?" He asks. I nod my head. "Have my jacket." He starts to remove his jacket to give to me, but he stops suddenly, his face turning a shade of tomato red and his ocean eyes widen. "Actually no, you can't have my jacket. You...you should have brought your own jacket because then I'll be cold." He states quickly whipping his black jacket back on. Im confused as Peeta seems really on edge. To think about it he has been all night. "Peeta are you sure your okay?" I ask raising one side on my lips into a smile.

He quickly nods his head, and smiles which makes me feel better. He takes my small hands in his big ones. "Of course, I'm with you." I return his smile.

Our meal is the most amazing think I have ever tasted, a salad with prawns for starter with a wonderful flavoured dressing I have never tried  before. Our main was a heavenly creamy tomato pasta, which I could eat ten times over. Dessert is an ice cream sundae with chocolate pieces, which we share. We pay for our food and now I am taken to my surprise.

I was blindfolded as soon as I left the restaurant, which was highly embarrassing as I'm sure people must have wondered what on Earth we are doing. But I know we are in the woods now. I didn't cheat and take off my blindfold, but I can tell where I am from the smell of pine which I'm so used to from the many days of my childhood I spent here with my father.

"Peeta, you could have told me we would be in the woods, I would have never wore these shoes!" I complain as I wobble through the woods in my sleek black heels. "Sorry." He says giggling. "Can we stop a minute?" I ask. "And help me...I can't walk in these heels any longer I need to take them off."

"We're almost there Katniss, but I'll tell you what, I'll carry you." Before I even have a chance to react Peeta flings me into his arms, and carries me like a baby.

About 5 minutes later we arrive at the destination. I am placed down, standing on my own now. Peeta is behind me, and I feel the heat from his breath hit my neck as he unties what is stopping me from seeing. This makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

"Three...two...one" I hear seconds before my blindfold is dropped from my eyes. I stay completely silent for minutes, taking in the breathtaking view in front of me.

We are at the lake. Only happy memories live here, ones of my father. It's where I learnt to swim. Now the place is filled with fairy lights hanging from the trees and candles scattered neatly on a picnic blanket beside the lake, which has plates of melted luxurious chocolate and strawberries on them. I'm lost for words. Its so truly beautiful I could cry. Peeta has done outdone himself as usual. This night couldn't get any more perfect.

I turn around to Peeta to watch his golden blonde locks dance in the slight breeze around us. "Peeta I..." I start but my sentence is soon stopped by what I am just witnessing. Peeta is no longer standing.

He is down on one knee, holding a small red box, inside containing a delicate silver ring, with a Pearl stick upon it. But not just any Pearl.

Our Pearl.

"Katniss. words can't begin to explain just how I feel for you. You have saved me. You are the most beautiful person I have ever seen. Everyday day you never fail to put a smile on my face. These are only three of the millions of reasons that I love you. "

Katniss, will you marry me?"
