After a short kind of pep talk with Addison, Dixie agree to take her mind off of Noah for the day. Addison advised her to get through the first day of school since it was supposed to be a happy day, and she shouldn't let some guy get in the way of that. Even though she slightly disagreed because to her Noah wasn't just some guy, but still, she went along with it.

They both finished getting ready, Addison wearing dark blue jeans a sage green tank top, and Dixie wearing brown pants and a white cropped button up. It was 8:45 and Addison's first class, anatomy, was at 9 and dixies first class, a lecture on criminal science, was at 10. Dixie drove Addison to her class since it was 2 hours long so they would both get out at 11 and would be able to drive home together.

Once she dropped Addison off she decided to go get breakfast since she hadn't eaten anything all day. Dixie recently started following and Instagram page for all the great places to visit and eat in new York, since she was still pretty new to the city she didn't know many places except for the ones she went with noah.... Anyways, after a quick scroll through her feed she came across a bagel shop. Bagels definitely weren't as common in the west coast and well, new jersey and new york where known for their bagels and coffee so she thought she would give it a try. It was a small shop called 'goldberg's' and strangely enough it was on the same street as her apartment.

After following her GPS, she went inside and her nose immediately filled with the smell of coffee grounds and freshly baked bread. She breathed it is as it was surprisingly refreshing, it smelt like the kitchen back home whenever her mom would bake something or make coffee in the mornings before school. She smiled to herself and started walking up to the register while rummaging through her small black purse looking for her wallet when she bumped into someone. "oh i'm so sorry!" she said looking up

so much for not thinking about him...

"it's fine dix" noah said looking down at her. He seemed rather annoyed, and slightly upset. Dixie was trying to hide the fact that was also slightly upset at him, and had to hold herself back from asking him what happened this morning and last night. They where both sort of shocked to see each other, but dixie was kinda hoping she would accidentally run into him. They stood their in the middle of the shop just staring at each other for a second until waiting for the other to say something. "uh i'm gonna go i have class in like an hour" noah said awkwardly. "oh yea go ahead" dixie said stepping out of the way so he could walk out. He nodded his head acknowledging her and started to walk away.

She regretted letting him go and Even though she knew it was a bad idea, she grabbed his arm once he started to walk away. Noah stopped in his tracks and turned back to face her. "noah... can you please tell me what i did wrong so i can apologize and we can move on" dixie said sincerely. She was unsure about how he would react but was just hoping for the best because she was not ready to loose him,
not again.

"dixie, you didn't really do anything wrong, this is on me, i messed up" noah said sounding defeated.

Dixie was now extremely confused, if he's the one that did something wrong then why was he mad at her? then shouldn't she be the one mad at him? This officially makes no sense at all.

"then if your the one that messed up why are you mad at me?" dixie asked me. She was ready to apologize once he had told her what had happened but now he was just confusing her even more. "because... i don't know I just don't want to talk about it" noah said shaking his head. He got his arm out of dixies grip and walked out the door, and then he was gone.

Dixie watched as he left and saw him walk down the street through the windows of the shop. Now she was by herself, zoned out just staring blankly into space. What in the world was going on.

Why did he have to confuse her even more?

Dixie felt someone tap her on the shoulder, she jumped and she whipped herself around.

"ma'm are you okay?" said a black haired man with a light brown apron on, just a little bit shorter than noah

"y-yea yea i'm fine sorry about that" dixie said turning red with embarrassment. She was embarrassed that someone had just saw what had happened.

"it's fine, sorry for tapping you i was just trying to get your attention" the man laughed walking back behind the counter

"don't worry it's okay" dixie said walking over to the counter the other side of it

"well nice to meet you i'm Matt what can i get for you today?" he said smiling at dixie

"i'm dixie nice to meet you too, um well it's my first time here what do you recommend?" dixie said, blushing

"well my favorite bagel here is the everything bagel, they are really good. And even though it's kind of the summer time our hot chocolate is amazing i get it all year round" he joked

"well then i guess i'll take your word for it, i'll have that" dixie said back to him

"perfect" he said writing her order on a notepad and handing it to another worker

"how much do i owe you?" dixie asked him grabbing her wallet

"on the house" matt smiled and left to the back of the shop to get her hot chocolate
