We Meet Again

July, summer 2015 before senior year of High School: Ackerman Park 10 pm

"the stars look so pretty tonight" dixie whispered while she drew circled on noahs hand with her thumb.

"i know, it looks so perfect" noah whispered back while leaning his head on top of dixies, who was cradled in his lap.

"we should do this more often"

They were leaning on a big oak tree on the hill of ackerman park. they had been there for quite a bit because they wanted to wanted to watch the sunset, per dixies request.

Everything was quiet, since it was so late no one else was there and it was just them enjoying each other's company. The stars were bright, and it was a cool summer evening considering the weather in california.

"happy one year anniversary my love" noah said after a bit

Dixie peaked her head up and placed her lips on noahs, showing him her love through a sweet and tender kiss. "happy anniversary, i love you" she mumbled again this lips before kissing him one more time. "i love you so much more"  he answered back before pulling her towards him again letting her snuggle into him again.

1 year with each other. They didn't do much to celebrate, they just decided to take a day to themselves. They had survived junior year together, and were now heading into senior year of high school, together.

High school is supposed to be the best years of your life, and for them they quite literally where. All though they did not spend all of high school technically dating they have still been friends for years. It was a fun experience, and they were both so gratefully they got to experience it with each other.

The love of their lives, their forever.

"baby?"  dixie asked quietly

"hm?" noah hummed in response showering her he was listening.

"have you ever thought about your future?"

"i mean kinda, why do you ask?"

"well we are gonna be seniors in a few months, and after high school is over we go into the real world so i thought we should start thinking about it, yknow?"

"well i'm not sure what college i'm going to yet, but I know i wanna go to college, keep playing soccer, the basics i guess"

"basics?"

"yea, like settle down, by a house, get married have kids"

"oh, that makes sense"

"what about you dix?"

"i don't know, basically the same i guess"  she answered shyly

That's weird, dixie was never shy. Especially not around noah.

"are you okay my love?" noah asked concerningly  turning dixie around so that she was now facing him.

"yea why do you ask?"
