Everything that happens in this chapter is completely  taylor's fault. * didn't proof read cause i was so anxious to post, i'll edit in the morning* alwaysfordixie

Noah paced around his living room walking back and forth around the wooden coffee table. He had piled up his luggage by the door and packed away most of things. It was 8:30 am and he was almost ready to leave. His flight back home to California left in a few hours, and he believed he would had some unfinished business to attend to before going back home for thanksgiving.

"noah i don't know what your so stressed about" blake laughed watching his best friend in a clearly agitated state

"i have every right to be stressed" noah hissed

"you really don't actually. You said it yourself that you guys agreed to be friends so i don't see the issue here" blake answered back

Noah explained to blake everything that happened with dixie 3 weeks ago. Starting with them leaving the party, up until dixie left their apartment after their talk. Blake felt terrible for his best friend as he knew how much dixie meant to him, even if did not like to admit it. Them agreeing to become friends didn't work out well considering they have not talked in 3 weeks. It was now November 22nd and there was still zero communication between the two. Noah took this separation pretty badly but tried not to show it. But, blake knew noah like the back of his hand it was very obvious considering it took and entire village to get noah to emerge from his cave also known as his bedroom.

All though noah wasn't the only one taking this badly, blake had still kept in close contact with addison and their new mutual friend amelie. From what they had told him so far dixie has been keeping to herself and laying low the past few weeks. She did not show much emotion but it was clear that she was feeling out of it. The girls had told him she stays in her room all day, and doesn't leave except for school, food, or her usual morning coffee and bagel run, to the bagel shop down the street.

They worked tediously trying to figure out a solution to the eve growing problem that was noah and dixies relationship, and finally thought they had found one. It would take some work but all blake had to do was convince noah to go to dixies apartment to 'say goodbye' and there him and addison would force the pair to finally speak to each other. Addison stood at bryces house the night before, and they agreed that she would come home early and let noah into the apartment. The plan was well thought out a was bound to work perfectly, right?

——————————————

This wasn't the first time noah was lost in his own indecisiveness, time and time again noah found himself in the same exact position: debating on wether to talk to dixie or not. He came close to just going to her apartment and talking to her multiple times, but every single time he chickened out. Over these past few weeks he faced lots of realization, It wasn't until they had been apart that made him realize his true feelings for her. He was scared to talk to her in fear if his feelings taking over, and from what he knew, she didn't feel the same and he thought things would awkward.

But now he was leaving, for a few weeks actually. He wouldn't be back til december 7th which was a little over two weeks.

After some contemplation in his own mind, he had come to terms with the fact that he couldn't just leave without saying goodbye. Speaking logically, there was nothing technically wrong either the two, they just hadn't talked in a while. Dixie was still one of noahs closest and most trusted (for now) friends and leaving without a proper dismissal seemed wrong.

"alright i'll go" noah sighed speaking to blake

"sounds good to me" he grinned back. This went easier then blake had expected and did not take as much convincing as he thought it would.
