I'm sorry for making you wait so long... I'll try to hurry with the last few chapters. How is 2021 treating you so far?

2019 ‖Eckley, CO

Empty. The cabin is empty.

Stan's heart starts racing, his head spinning.

"No."

He thought that he was going to find all answers behind this door. That everything would lead back to this place and finally make sense.

Just fucking make sense.

"I'm so stupid."

"Why? Where's Tweek?"

Answers. He just wanted answers. Clarity.

"I thought...I don't know what I thought. Sorry." The realization had sucked all energy out of him and left Stan unable to feel sorry for Craig. Everything has lost its meaning once more.

"Dude, you said-"

"What are you doing here?"

The familiar voice makes Stan jump around. A person had appeared a few feet behind his friends who are still standing in the doorway.

Red curls, green eyes.

"We could ask you the same thing, asshole."

Kenny puts a hand on Craig's shoulder to calm him down and then turns back to Kyle.

"His boyfriend disappeared and we are looking for him. Stan thought he might be here. Have you seen him?"

"Oh, Stan thought that."

"Yes, I-"

"Let's see what you think of this."

A gun appears in his hand and the metal reflects in the moonlight.

"Woah, dude! Put that away! What are you doing?" Kenny stumbles back.

"Shut up, all of you. You are not going to ruin his plan."

"Whose plan? Kyle, what the fuck are you doing? Are you high?"

"Kenny." Stan takes a step forward. This is all too familiar.

"He's not himself right now. When I ran into him a few nights ago, he was acting the same way. I think he has been brainwashed."

"Brainwashed? What the fuck? He's a psycho!"

Stan ignores Craig's unusual burst of energy and steps closer to Kyle.

"Who did this to you? How can we help you?"

"Help." Kyle scoffs, still aiming at him.

"I don't need your help. Did you not see what happened to me because of your help? Night after night. It's all your fault. Your help is going to ruin me."

Stan remembers his very first time travel. Kyle behind the supermarket. The drugs.

"No, that's...that's not my fault. I...I love you. I would never do this to you. Your future is yours to make."

"You still believe that? After everything?"

Kyle grabs his arm, his fingers are cold. Like the ones of a zombie.

"Hey, let him go!" Kenny rushes forward but Kyle is quicker. His gun is now aimed at the blonde.

"It's okay, don't get involved." Stan tries to comfort him, not wanting for him to get him into trouble as well.

"Oh, I got involved the second this guy right here," he points at Kyle "decided to ruin my best friend's life. And no I don't mean a few seconds ago when you decided to threaten him with a fucking gun. I'm talking last year. The way you broke his heart. And how you now terrorize him in his sleep!"

"Kenny." Kyle's voice is so calm, way too calm. He smiles slightly. "I had no choice. It was all his idea, I had to obey."

"WHO? Whose idea?"

Kyle ignores the blonde and turns to Stan, still smiling.

"Come with me. Someone wants to meet you."

Stan swallows down his urge to punch him in the face and run for his life; instead he just nods.

He may be fast but a bullet surely is faster.

Kyle starts walking, forcing Stan to follow.

They walk around the cabin, Kenny and Craig following them. When he sees, what Kyle had been hiding on the other side of the wooden building, his heart drops.

Tweek is sitting there, back against the wall. His feet and hands are tied, his mouth hidden behind duct tape. His face is wet from crying.

When he sees them, his eyes widen and he starts sobbing.

"Fuck!" Craig jumps forward but Kenny manages to grab him.

"Let me go! I need to...what did you do to her? Psycho!"

Kyle just rolls his eyes.

"Okay, you two, step back. This is about Stan."

"If this is about Stan, then why did you kidnap my girlfriend and tie her up, you cunt?"

"Step. Back."

"Come on dude." Kenny puts a hand on Craig's shoulder and together they take a few steps away.

"So, my Romeo, what do you think of my little hostage? He's cute, right?"

Tweek sobs, staring at Stan with pleading eyes.

"Why did you do this?"

Suddenly he hears a rustling behind them and Stan shoots around. A figure appears behind the trees, tuckin the shirt into their pants.

"Fuck, I hate pissing in the woods. Especially when its dark. I almost ran into nettles and- oh. You guys are early. Good. That means we have more time for some fun."

Stan immediately recognizes the voice and finally he knows the face behind it.

How did he not manage to connect the dots earlier?

"You."
