"Stan!" He finds himself in the hallway of the strip club. Kyle walks towards him, opening his arm. Stan takes a step back. Avoiding sleep for one night worked fine, except for the fact that he felt like a zombie for the following day, but then he couldn't stay awake any longer. Now he's here again. Kyle raises his eyebrows. "Everything okay?" God, he looks so cute in his sparkly outfit. This is what Stan turned down present Kyle for, right? He can't fuck this up. "I'm sorry, life's just been a mess lately." He takes Kyle's face in both of his hands and kisses him. God. He missed that. Kyle smiles but he looks a bit worried. "What's wrong?" "I don't want to talk about it. It's a lot. But it'll be fine." He grabs Kyle's hand but he pulls back. "Is this the moment where you are supposed to tell me that you are married and not sure how to tell your wife about your nightly whereabouts?" "What? No, I'm not married. I'd be quite an asshole if I was and hung out here with you at the same time." Kyle tilts his head. "Stan...80% of the men in there are married." "That's fucked up. I'm not though, I'm as single as I can be." He pulls Kyle into his arms. The red head puts his arms around his neck. "If that's the case...when are you finally going to ask me out? This has been going on for three weeks already and you always tell me how much you like me so I thought you might want more than just sex. Or maybe I'm wrong." Three weeks? Stan must have missed a lot then. In the present only a week has passed since the first dream and he met this Kyle twice. "No, you're not wrong. I'd love to go on a date with you. You know, one of those innocent lovey-dovey ones where I offer you my coat and stuff." Kyle chuckles. "Are you a romantic?" "I try." He pulls Kyle into another kiss. Stan tries to remember. Did kissing his ex girlfriend feel like this as well? With all the butterflies and shaky knees? No. It didn't. "I got one more performance and then I need to change so how about we meet in half an hour at the back entrance?" "Oh you want to go on a date right now?" "If you got time." "Yeah, of course!" Kyle kisses Stan's cheek and then slowly lets go of his hands.

Willy's is a well-heated typical American diner, only a few streets away from The Blue Lagoon. When they enter the nearly empty restaurant, the woman behind the bar looks up. "Evening Kyle!" He blushes. "Hey Moni." Before Stan can wonder whether Moni's full name is Monica or Monique, Kyle pulls him lightly to a table in the back. "I guess you know my name now. I would have liked to tell you myself but yeah." At first Stan doesn't know what he means by that but then he realizes that Kyle has only introduced himself as Java so far. Quick, act surprised! "I think Kyle suits you, it's a nice name. And don't worry, I'll keep it to myself." They sit down next to each other. "So why does she know you? Do you come here often?" Kyle grabs the menu and leans closer to Stan who puts his arm around his shoulders. Isn't this sweet? Isn't this what he had always wanted? "It's the only diner that has sugarfree ice cream. I'm diabetic but I love milkshakes. Bad combo. What do you want to eat?" "What do you recommend?" Stan pulls him even closer. Kyle doesn't seem to mind the cuddly position. He puts his head on Stan's shoulder. "The fire fries are really good. Basically curly fries with some sort of salsa hot sauce mix. Onion rings are a must. The burgers are all great except for the Swedish Delight, it's usually too salty. And you have to try the apple pie. And the lava cake." "I see, this is going to be a long night." Stan looks through the menu but it's hard for him to concentrate. Kyle's body warmth is so comforting that he suddenly feels really tired. What time is it anyway? "What can I get you two?" Moni the waitress, a maybe 30 year old broad woman with blonde curls and a septum piercing, pulls out her note pad and smiles at them. Stan waits for Kyle to order first. "Can I have a large vanilla milkshake and the fingerfood bowl?" "Sure thing sweetie. What about you?" Stan takes a last glance at the menu and then puts it down. "I'll have the Aruba burger with fries and a coke." "Okeydokey." Moni smiles at them one last time and then turns around to walk away. "So you're into fruit on savory foods?" Kyle grins, his hand glides over Stan's chest. "Hell yeah. Saying pineapple doesn't belong on pizza is blasphemy!" The red head chuckles. "Hey, can I ask you something?" "Of course." "Why did you...decide to become a stripper?" Kyle's smile fades. "Only if you want to tell me of course." "Yeah no, it's fine. I used to be a barista when I got...uhm...discovered. My current boss offered me the job but at first I thought he's a pervert and I would definitely not do that. But then I got fired and well, I had nothing else left to lose. So I decided to at least check it out, I wasn't actually planning on accepting the job. But now I'm here. But I enjoy it, you know? The spotlights, the attention, the pole dancing. It's fun. And I make enough money to pay my rent. What do you work as?" Good question. Stan tries to find his inner voice. The intruder. Or to say better, the memories he still has to make. "I'm going to uni, studying nutrition science. I'll do my bachelor in a few months." Cool. "Cool! See, I'm starting to like you more and more. Now you're an educated hot responsible nice guy slash hopeless romantic. That's sexy." "You think so?" "Mhm." They kiss again slowly. Kyle's hand glides through Stan's hair. The soft touches of their tongues make Stan's fingers tingle. "Hey love birds, food's here." Stan pulls back, blushing slightly. Kyle doesn't seem to mind. Moni puts down the food in front of them and leaves again. "Damn that looks good." Stan takes a closer look at the burger. Fluffy bun, juicy meat, fresh mango. "You need to try the mayo with your fries. I swear they have the best mayo here." Stan grabs the yellow bottle and pours some onto his plate.
