(Y/N) has been walking back and forward in the room, processing what just happened in her dreams. For the entire hour and so, she kept thinking about the thin man behind the door. 'Who was that man behind the door? What does he want from me? Why does he look so... sad?' She kept asking questions in her mind nonstop, figuring out answers or at least any hints.

Away from her are Chip and Ted, who watched her worryingly. They've noticed she has been acting strangely for the past few days. They grew worried for the (h/c) haired girl and want to help her. Both Chip and Ted looked at each other and nod. Ted closed his book as Chip stood up and both went up to their friend. (Y/N) felt someone pulling her cape to get her attention and looked down. She saw Chip, still holding her cape with Ted beside him. (Y/N) looked at them confusingly, "Huh? Is there something you need, guys?" Chip lets go of the girl's cape as he and Ted looked at each other once again. (Y/N) was puzzled then realized what's they meant...

She kneeled down in front of them. "Oh- Oh no... I made you two worried, didn't I?" she asked the two. Chip nodded in response. "Oh geez," (Y/N) sat down on the floor. "I'm sorry that I made you two worried. Something just... came up and I don't know how to process it," she explained. Ted went in front of her and pats her head. 'We've noticed that you have been acting weird. Please tell us what's going on, we want to help,' Ted pleaded. The girl could only look at him and sighed. "I really should explain what's been going on, huh? I do need to talk you guys about it since I'm tired of keeping it to myself," (Y/N) confessed. "Why don't you both sit down? This whole explanation might take a while," she claimed. 'Well, we got all day. So there's nothing to worry about,' Ted commented, causing Chip to nod in agreement. The girl sitting on the floor smiled as both of her nome friends sat in front of her. (Y/N) sighed and clap her hands together, "Alright boys, story time...."

(Y/N) explained to both Chip and Ted about her dreams. She also mentioned about the man behind the door. She told them that the man might have called her for a reason. The two nomes listened to her story in every details. "So yeah, that's pretty much it I guess," (Y/N) ended her story. Chip and Ted just sat there in silence. "I know it's too much handle all in, and I couldn't blame you two," the girl added. "It does sound pretty unbelievable, don't you think?"

Ted shook his head, 'No no, I believe you. You believe her too, right Chip?' Chip nodded and gave them a thumbs up, agreeing with Ted. (Y/N)'s eyes widened. "I'm surprised that you two actually believed me," she blurted. Ted responded, 'Honestly, we're living in a world of nightmare. Basically, anything can happen.' The (h/c) haired girl chuckled, "You do have a point there, Ted." The nome added, 'Also, when you described about that tall man from your dreams, it made me believe you more. Your description of him is similar to the one we saw back from the maw." Chip nodded, agreeing with Ted's explanation.

(Y/N) stood up from her spot and stretches, sending out a grunt from her. "Welp, I think that's enough about that for now," she spoked. She looked out of the window to see the rainy weather. A lightbulb popped out of her head. "You two want to make paper boats and float them on a puddle outside? "she asked the two nomes. Ted nodded as Chip jumps up excitedly, which caused (Y/N) to giggle. Chip ran towards an empty notebook he found last night, teared the papers, and gave one each to his friends. After making paper boats, (Y/N) opened the window and pushed the rope of curtains that have been tied up together out through the window. Luckily, they're on the second floor of the building, which is the perfect length for their curtain rope. They all climbed down safely and walk down the street, looking for a puddle.

After searching for 2 minutes, the three finally found a big puddle. Chip ran towards the puddle and put his paper boat on it. Ted and (Y/N) went beside him and did the same. They all watch the paper boats float on the puddle. (Y/N) squat down and smiled as Chip gazed at boats in awe and follow his boat happily. It was nice seeing him playing around happily. Even in this city that is scary and gloomy, that doesn't stop them from having fun and spend time together.

Suddenly, the grey hooded girl felt a pat on her shoulder. She turned her head to see Ted looking at her. 'What's going to happen now?' asked Ted. The girl looked at him puzzled, "What do you mean, Ted?" Ted continued, 'About the man, in your dreams? Are you going to see him again?' She looks away and think. There's a high chance that she might see him again in her dreams. But who knows what will happen later? Maybe she might be back from that fleshed room with eyes again...

"I don't know. But there's only one thing I can do..." (Y/N) stood up and look towards her reflection from the puddle. "I have to get to him again to get answers"

A/N: Hi guys! Apologize for the long wait, I've been focusing on my classes more because I need to catch up. Chapter 4 is pretty short but it is done! Originally, I was about to add more but it might make this chapter really long. So I decided to separate it and make the other part as chapter 5 instead. Also, shout out to @Softie_hoax for making these amazing fanarts! They actually made two more separate ones with the reader wearing both pants and shorts, but I chose the skirt since that's the one I used in this story.

Fun fact: Back when Ted is a human, he was mute. That is why he knows how to do sign language.
