3rd pov

Y/N's eyes slowly opened as she let out a low groan. She moved up slowly and looked around to see Chip and Ted sleeping peacefully beside her. Smiling at the sight, she carefully got off the mattress and walked out of the room. Compare to the mornings she had after the dreams she used to have, this one was better. She felt relief and calm ever since she finally talked to the Thin Man.

In the bedroom, Chip woke up on the mattress and see the (h/c) girl, not beside him. In a panic, he moved towards Ted and shook him violently. The nome with the purple bow woke up and looked at Chip confusingly. After telling him that their female friend disappeared, they both panic and looked around to see that she is missing. Thinking that she has been taken, they both ran out of the room and look for her. They both stopped running once they see (Y/N) stretching in the kitchen

She turned around after hearing their little footsteps through the hallway and smiled when she spots her nome friends. "Oh, good morning you two! Hope I didn't wake you both up," she beamed. Ted mentally sighed in relief as Chip ran towards her and hugged her leg tightly. "Woah there, what's this? Did something happen?" (Y/N) questioned. Ted walked forward and sign in sign language. 'Chip found you gone on the mattress and we both thought something happened to you. So we ran out to look for you, but it turns out you're fine.' The girl's (e/c) widened and chuckled nervously. "Ah jeez, I really should stop making you guys scared and worried so much. I'm sorry guys," she apologized. "It's okay, at least we know that you're fine," Ted stated.

(Y/N) let out a giggle and went down to her knees. "Oh, come here you two!" she burst as she grabbed Ted and Chip to a group hug. The three hugged for a minute and let go of each other. Ted looked at the girl. 'You seemed to be in a good mood today. Did something happened? Wait... Is it your dream? Did you meet the man again?' Ted asked. The (h/c) girl laughed nervously at his sudden questions. "Well, I guess you can say that. We just talk for a bit and everything was seemed to be fine. He is nice, and was very gentle on me," she replied. She looked at Chip who is tugging on her denim skirt to gain her attention. He held out both of his index fingers that are curved and interlocks them twice. 'Friend?' He asks with his head tilted. (Y/N)'s eyes widened, shocked to see Chip using sign language. 'It seems he's learning from Ted,' she thought. "I'm not sure, but I guess we are..." (Y/N) answered.

Chip jumped in the air and started dancing around, which give the girl a small laugh. He was happy to hear his friend making a new friend. Since she stated that her new friend is friendly, maybe he can be his friend too. Ted, on the other hand, is worried about his friend's safety. Indeed she mentioned that the man was kind and gentle, but the man is still a stranger. He doesn't who the man is or what he's capable of. He went up to (Y/N) and ask her, 'Are you sure that man is safe? What if he's dangerous?' The girl turned her head and closed her eyes. "To be honest, I don't know. I can tell he was nervous and shy. I'm pretty sure he doesn't trust me quite one bit and I couldn't blame him since we just met. But based on his actions earlier, it feels like he's somewhat happy to see me. It will take a while to gain each other's trust, and I have a feeling that he wouldn't hurt me," she admitted. Ted could only look at her and sighed mentally. He held her hand which got her attention. 'Okay, I'll trust you on this. But please be careful, I don't want you to get hurt,' Ted said worryingly. The girl looked at Ted with a half-smile. She appreciates her friend worrying about her safety. "Don't worry Ted, I promise I'll be careful and cautious," she promised.

For the entire day, they went scavenging again through the city and found a new spot to stay. When it was time for bed, (Y/N) felt a bit excited to see the Thin Man again, but doesn't know why. She fell asleep and woken up in the same hallway as before. She opened the door and see the Thin Man on the chair, sitting with his head down. She tiptoed inside the room as the door slowly closed behind her. The (h/c) girl went in front of the man and looks up, seeing the Thin Man's eyes were closed, seemed to be asleep. Not wanting to rudely wake him up, she sat on the floor and wait.
