《 Prologue 》

(Y/N) couldn't remember her past life but only her name. She woke up in a cage, found herself somewhat in a lair, and saw other children that are inside of the cages separately. She also noticed how everything seems to be gigantic. (Y/N) called out to them but they didn't response. She continued by asking them where they are and there is still no response. (Y/N) sighed in defeat and sat down with the cage bars behind her back. Out of nowhere, the boy that's trapped in a cage next to hers answer her question.

"We're at the maw," he said. "They take away us children and trap us here in the cage." (Y/N) heard his answer and noticed there's a single metal cuff wrapped on her left wrist. The chain that is attached to the metal cuff is connected to her cage. "Why did they capture us? What are they going to do with us?" (Y/N) asked. The boy shrugged, "Who knows? All I know is that if they take you out of this room, you're a goner."

(Y/N) was terrified. She was afraid what's going to happened to her if she gets taken away. Each hour passes by as she watches the man with long arms, who she assumed is the janitor, brings in new children and take others away. At this point, she has given up and accepted her faith, until luck was by her side. The janitor came into the room to take a cage with a child inside and accidentally dropped a small rasp file when he dragged the cage. (Y/N) took her chance to tried moving the cage towards the tool and successfully grasp it. She uses the file to the chain and on the cage bars. After freeing herself, she got out of her cage and decided to help the boy next to her. She went to the boy who is unaware and used the file onto his cage. The boy jumped when he heard the noise and turned to see the (h/c) girl trying to free him.

"Don't worry, I'll get you out of this cage," she said to the boy. "Why are you saving me?" he asked. I looked at him in the eyes and whispered, "You're the only one answered my questions and talked to me. Plus, I want to help you get out of here." The boy looked at her with his eyes widened and smiled. "Thank you," he replied. After minutes of using the file onto the cage, the door opened, revealing the janitor with a cage and a child wearing a raincoat inside. The janitor can sense something is wrong and become more aware of his surroundings. The (h/c) girl stop and shoved the file inside of the boy's cage.

"You go on ahead use that file to free yourself while I distract the janitor to give you more time," (Y/N) whispered to the boy. The boy hesitated and grabbed her hand, "What about you? What if he catches you?" The girl looked at him and smiled, "Don't worry, I'll be fine."

(Y/N) carefully tip toed towards the door, called out to the janitor and ran off. The janitor heard the girl. He dropped the cage on top of another, turned around, and chase after her. (Y/N) kept on running until she finally lost the janitor. She hid inside the vent and catch her breath. 'Hopefully that brought that boy some time to escape.' she thought. 'I hope he got out safely.' Little did (Y/N) know, that will be the last time she sees that boy.

As she goes around, she stumbled upon a nome. She eventually become friends with it and the nome lead her to the other nomes. She manages to gain their trust and they all follow her around. They also help her and showed her things they found that might be useful. They entered onto a room and found an old television which it appears to be on. On the screen, it only showed the noise. It sent out a static sound, then out of nowhere showed a silhouette of a tall man with a fedora hat, which caught (Y/N)'s attention. She got closer to the television, feeling the static noise and the man calling out for her, and touched the screen with both of her hands. Suddenly, her hands went through the screen, which caused the (h/c) girl to panic. She tried pulling her hand out but it was no use. The nomes went behind her and help pulling her. They all tried their best freeing her hand, until (Y/N) got sucked into the screen along with two of the nomes, leaving the rest behind.

So that's the prologue of this story. There is more to come! This is just the beginning of (Y/N)'s journey, and I hope you all enjoy it!
