Chapter 52: Standing Up

When I open my eyes, it's already dark but the colorful lights caught my attention. I looked around and I found myself at the bench in the garden of our school. I feel so calm in this place, its peace and quiet. I got my bag and stood up; I need to go home.... My brother might be worried. Before I could leave someone hug me at my back.

"Aren't you going to wait for me baby?" It's Jayden's voice, turned to him

"Huh?" I gave him a question mark look

"What huh? Are you okay?" He ask and he looks worried

"The question is, Are you OKAY? Why are you here with me?" I ask him

"What kind of question is that? Did you drop your brain or something?" He keeps on saying that at a time like this "As far as I know I'm here to fetch my girlfriend because we'll be having dinner to her house like we always do" he said

"You're not going with Elissa?" I ask and he gave me a confusing look

"Why will I go with her? She's not my girlfriend" He said

"What are you saying? Elissa is your fiancé" I told him and he laughs hard "Stop laughing Jayden this is serious"

"Huh? Are you still half asleep?" he is still laughing

"I'm serious here jerk!" I said and he stopped laughing

"Tsss.... I'm serious too, why would I want to marry her?" He asks

"But--" before I could reason out

"You're the only one that I want to marry baby, so don't give me away to anyone" He said, Jayden lift my chin and our lips met, now he moved both his hand to my face and our kiss turn into passionate one. Jayden pull off first "Oh forgot something, I'll be right back. Stay here okay?" He said and I nodded. So all the time I was just dreaming? All of it?

While I was waiting, I smell the scent of fried chicken and of course my stomach reacted. My nose became like a dog and followed the scent of that fried chicken, when I got to the place where the chicken is, I ran to the table to get some of it but before I could reach the table I trippedand fell off.

"Aw my face and breast hurts" I said to myself

'Are you alright Isabelle?" Jerome helped me to get up.

"Where's Jayden?" I asked

"Uhmm.... JR isn't here" he said, when I looked around I'm in a hospital. Chantal is looking at me with a worried face.

"So our kiss is just a dream" I whisper, my eyes are going to shed again. Jerome started to hug me "It's all a dream" my tears started to fall, I buried my face to his chest like last time and I cried it all out. "I thought that kiss was real because it felt real, but it turns out it's just a dream, I'm so pathetic" all I can do is cry. I feel helpless.

"We're here B, we won't leave you" she went to my other side. I just can't help but cry, what Jayden did really hurts. It's twice the pain than the previous, unlike Jerome suddenly left me and Steven cheating because I really fell deeply inlove with that jerk superstar. Jerome lifts my face full of tears.

"Let us help you, stand up again.... It's not end of the world Isabelle, all of this is just a test and after this.... Everything's going back the way it was" Jerome's word sunk in my mind.

"Jerome's right B, we all know you are stronger than any of us.... We believe in you.... Specially me... I know that you will triumph all the obstacles in life, because that's how strong you are, not to mention you're the complete package, beauty and brains" Chantal said, I'm touched with these two friends of mine.
