Chapter 11: First Day on My New Job

Chantal and I were early today, so we just chill out at our classroom and I told her that I will be working for Jayden as his new PA. Of course her reaction was shocked because it is really hard to find a part time job now a days and with a touch of luck I was employed by a superstar. How lucky am I right?

"You're so lucky you know that B? At least your work will become lighter than before and you will be having a large salary" Chantal told me. She commented because I explained my contract with Jayden and from that contract I read a lot of zero.

"I think it will just be the same because being a personal assistant of a superstar can be a lot of work because he gave me his schedule for next week and I tell you B it's not as easy as you think it is" I replied and I showed her the details from my phone.

Chantal and I were talking then the door opened, it's Steven and Elissa. I know I should move on but when I see them together my heart starts to ache like there is a dagger inside of it that can't be removed. They just grab their seat without a word from them. It felt different when I was with Jayden when we are in the garden, but still I need to be tough for my sake.

Jayden didn't show up in World Literature today, I wonder where he is, "B your boss is coming" Chantal whispers. He's late I wonder where did he go? It's already lunch break and still I can't contact him.

"Hi ladies" Jayden greets us from behind.

"Hey why were you absent in World Lit?" I asked him.

"Why? Did you miss me already Ana?" he told me with his sparkling smile. Ok that caught me off guard, my face suddenly turned hot.

"What are you talking about jerk? that's part of my job" I answered with a frown on my face.

"Okay okay chill!" he raises his arms like he is surrendering. "Speaking of job, hey Ana I know this is sudden but I have an event to attend later the Teen Hot Shot fair. Can you come with me?" he ask.

"Why are you asking? You're the boss" I just told him. Good thing I brought extra clothes, well I can't tail him with my uniform can we?

We are already at the venue and there were flashes everywhere some of the fan girls in school are also here, as always some girls are having photos with Jayden and some of them want his autograph. There are even fan clubs for Jayden, one of the fan clubs got my attention because they have a huge banners with a sign JAYDENERS on it and there is also a picture of Jayden from his last pictorial. Jayden is so popular and I can't believe that I'm hanging out with a Super Star, just look at him that's the dream I had once being a star but I guess it's not for me.

Half an hour has pass Jayden was called by his manager "Hello Jayden I'm glad that you came tonight, I know that you are busy for school but we can't help that you are voted as the most wanted teen actor in Teen Hot Shot Magazine" his manager said.

"Oh it's okay Alex, I don't wanna disappoint my fans" Jayden answered back.

"Jayden... is she your new personal assistant?" his manager looked at me, before I could answer.

"No, she's my friend and classmate Liana Kyle" he told his manager.

"Nice to meet you Liana, you know Jayden rarely brings a friend so I thought you were his personal assistant, I'm sorry darling" he apologized. Actually I'm his personal assistant, what's happening in this jerk's mind.

"It's okay, I get that a lot" I replied with a smile. "By the way I'm Jayden's manager Alex" he introduced himself. Alex offers his hand for a hand shake and I took his hand.

After meeting Alex the emcee called Jayden and the whole venue was in chaos, Jayden's charm is to strong I can't deny that. Jayden thank all of his fans for voting him.

Jayden is busy on stage so I went to the nearest store to buy bottled water for him because he's been busy since we got to the fair. When I returned to the back stage, I saw Jayden and handed him the bottled water and can you believe it he finished the whole bottle in one sip.

"Why did you lie? Why didn't you tell Alex that I'm your new personal assistant?" I asked him out of curiosity.

"Well he's the reason why all my personal assistant are resigning because he treats them badly, so I introduced you as my friend and I didn't lie Ana you're my friend right? I just don't want anyone treating you bad and I don't want seeing you cry" Jayden said then took his bottle of water from me.

I was speechless it's true that he didn't lie but my heart beats three times faster because of those words, what's happening to me? I feel a little bit happy. The fair already ended Jayden bids his fans good bye and displaying his sparkling smile.

I know Jayden is tired so we went inside his car and he drives me home, before going out in his car "Ana starting tomorrow I'll be driving you home, okay? since you're always with me" I tried to protest but I couldn't; I was also tired and needed a good night sleep.
