Chapter 34: Past and Present Collides

Our class in theology is over, so now I'm waiting for Ana because she still has another class to attend to. I'm not in the mood but some of the girls are still asking if they can have picture with me, so I just nod to them and gave them a smile that I can afford right now; I can't ignore them because they are my fans. After having pictures with my fans I went to the garden to relax my mind. I sat down at the bench and I rest my eyes to recall something.

Four Years Ago

"You're back?" I greeted Jerome coldly

"Oh, hey JR" he said

"I thought you'll be back here after graduation, you're a year early" I told him

"Yeah, something happened in the Philippines so I need come back" he exhales

"Why? Did you sleep with other girls who happen to have a boyfriend?" I ask him seriously

"Wow! That’s harsh couz, haven't you forgiven me for that crime?" Jerome asked

"No" 

"Hey! You should be thanking me for sleeping with that Carla.. She was just using you remember?" he laughs

"Shut up" I said. 

What he said was true I admit but that time I was very attached to Carla, I was destroyed when I saw them entering a motel. Yeah I shouldn't assume but they entered a motel, what are they going to do? Play cards? Play dollies? Carla said to Jerome that she is just using me because I have a huge crush on her and I treated her everyday. She said that she used me to come closer to Jerome; lastly she said to Jerome that I'm not her type because I'm a wimp, Yes... I was thin when I was in second year high school until I changed myself. I made myself physically fit that the girls will be going gaga over me, then my manager Alex found me and said that I have a future in showbiz not just in Australia but worldwide because Alex is an international talent searcher. I trusted him and enter the life in showbiz. That’s how my career started.

"What did you do in the Philippines that make you come running back here?" I asked him coldly again

"I got the feeling you don't want me here couz?" he chuckles

"You got that right, so what did you do?" I said

"I fell inlove with a very special girl" he said

"You loved her? Then you left her? Did you drop your brain or something?" I said

"I left because I want to be better for her, she loved me even though she knows that I'm a playboy. She found out that I'm having sex with two of our classmates at the same time at my condo and still after that incident she still called and texted me if I'm alright the time that I didn't show up in school"

"So what did you do?" I ask

"I didn't answer any of her calls or replied on her text message because I was embarrassed; I decided that I'll leave the Philippines and everything to be worthy of her and one day I will find her and give her the love that she deserves." Jerome said with teary eyes.

I didn't know that a playboy like him can be changed by another girl..... That’s good, I hope JC and that girl ended up together because that girl performed a miracle on my cousin.
