this was heavily inspired by the 10th episode of Violet Evergarden,, that episode made me wanna cry so bad,, 

btw, Violet Evergarden is a really good anime if you want a short-ish, heartfelt anime,, I enjoyed it :3

also- I was looking at the story details for this book,, I swear when I was making it I was high ;-;

=============|Irises|=============

Irises. 

Shirabu always loved them.

They symbolize messages, ways of telling someone something meaningful.

They lived in a house near a field of irises.

"They" is Shirabu and Semi.

And they loved each other so much.

But all good things come to an end. 

Semi was sick with a fatal disease.

The doctor had said he had about 1 month to live.

The both of them were crying behind their smiling masks.

Each step they took felt heavier and heavier.

Semi was sad he'd have to leave his lover behind.

Shirabu was sad he'd be alone.

And Semi thought the only way to leave his world was with irises.

Shirabu stood in the kitchen, potting a vase of flowers they'd collected from the field the other day. Semi emerged from their bedroom, hair a mess. Shirabu chuckled at the other's disheveled appearance. 

"Morning Eita, want some tea?"

Semi looked up and smiled. "Sure."

They sat down at the breakfast table and ate together. After they finished, Semi spoke up.

"Hey, Kenji, I have some work to do today and tomorrow. I'm using the sunroom. That okay with you?"

Shirabu nodded. "Mhm. What work are you doing?"

"Oh, just some letters.. you know.."

Shirabu slowly nodded his head. He was sending letters to people that he wanted to say goodbye to, probably. "I see. Well, can I work with you?"

"Actually.. um.. I'd like some privacy, I'm sorry."

"No, I understand. That's fine, if you need something, call me."
