Piper's pov:
I arrived home, with a smile on my face, dripping wet from the rain but I didn't mind. My parents had stopped arguing which was good, I hate listening to them fight and shout.
I walked up to my room when my mum walked out of hers,
"You seem happy today, what have you been up to?"
"Nothing," I told her and went into my room, had a shower and got changed into some joggers and an over-sized t-shirt.
I picked out a book from my shelf and started reading, I was reading 'everything everything' and finished the book in an hour.
Another thing I liked was reading, reading was my escape from the world, I didn't pay attention to anything else whilst reading, nothing else mattered, but then I'd be brought back to reality and hear my parents shouting, tonight they weren't and I was really glad.
I went down to get some food and once I'd eaten I went back up to my bedroom and put my earphones in and just laid in bed.
Before I went to bed, I got my school clothes ready. I wondered what this Harvey was like he was very nice but was he just showing sympathy, I didn't trust him but I needed a friend and if that was rain-boy, then so be it. I hoped he be a true friend and not stab me in the back, I knew I had to make friends but I was terrified in case I'd trust someone who wasn't to be trusted.
I took my earphones out and went to sleep.

I woke up the next day at seven, did a face mask, used my cleansing water and moisturised, I got changed into my uniform, did my hair and waited outside for Harvey, if he did turn up.
He did.
"Hey rain- girl," he smiled.
"Hi rain-boy," I said back and we started walking to school.
"So tell me about you, rain-boy," I told Harvey and he told me a lot about himself.
"Well me and my twin Max sing, he plays the guitar and I play the drums but not in our songs just as something I like to do, we have 6 million followers on social media, and you know I like the rain and there's nothing else really," "What about you? Tell me about you rain-girl,"
"Well you know I like the rain and I like to read books, as in fiction not non-fiction,"
"That's coo;,"
"And boring,"
"Nah, I think it's pretty cool," rain-boy admitted and it made me happy.
We arrived at school and he walked me to my form room, which was also his, we got handed our time-tables and me and Harvey had the same classes,
"Looks like you're stuck with me, rain-girl," he smirked at me.
"Looks like it," I smiled to myself, maybe I had really made a friend.
Our first lesson of the day was Maths, my favourite subject, and we were allowed to sit where we wanted, me and Harvey sat next to each other at the back of the classroom. I was doing okay with the worksheet we got given to complete but Harvey was struggling.
"Can you help me?"
"Sure, you just have to do this," I helped him with our work and we both completed it by the end of the lesson.
Our next lesson was Music, my least favourite but Harvey's favourite. Today we had to play one of three songs on the keyboards, we had to work in pairs and we were allowed to choose who to work with. Me and Harvey sat down at one of the keyboards, I didn't understand all the notes and keys but he did and he showed me how to do it. He was really good.
