Piper's pov:

I got ready for school and left the house and saw Harvey waiting for me,

"Hi, rain-girl,"

"Hi rain-boy," I smiled.

"Here's your jacket," I passed him his jacket but he shook his head.

"No, keep it, you might need it another time,"

"No, Harvey, I can't it's yours,"

"And I want you to have it, okay?"

"But...."

"But what?"

"But won't you need it?"

"I have so much clothes as it is, just keep it, rain-girl, okay?"

"Okay, rain-boy," and we walked to school, Harvey asking me things like,

"So did you forget your PE kit?"

"Are you good at sport?"

"I bet you can't run faster than me," he laughed.

"Probably, sports aren't really my thing," I told him. When we arrived to school, we went to our form class.

I made my way through the day and now I had PE. I went to the changing rooms and got changed into leggings and a t-shirt. All the other girls were talking between themselves, but not me, I had no friends, except Harvey but he wasn't a girl. So I quickly made my way to the field to find out we were playing with the boys.

Once all the other girls made their way to the field, our teacher told us it was a football match, I was pretty good at football, not the best but definitely enough to wipe the smug faces off the boys.

I saw Harvey and he looked and waved at me, I waved back.

The girls put me in goal but I was still really good, there wasn't much shots to save since they boys couldn't get past the defense.

After half-time, the score still being 0-0, we continued playing, this time the football was passed to Harvey, Harvey kept the football in his possession and got past the defense with ease, he was really good, he looked at me with a grin on his face and then kicked the football, with a lot of power.

I dived and caught in my hands like it was such an easy save, I didn't play sport a lot, I used to in primary school but not in a few years, the boys were all moaning and even Harvey looked suprised that he had missed that shot. He gave me a thumbs up and smiled at me.

I had to boot the football to someone for there to be any chance of us winning or scoring, I knew I could do that with ease, so I decided to challenge myself. I was going to try and score a goal with one kick, I knew it wasn't easy but our pitch wasn't that big and if I used a lot of power I could score.

Well here goes nothing.

I booted the football with as much power as I could and I saw it fly into the air, past the half-way line, the boys tarted running, past the defense, skimming the goalie's head and then going into the net.

The score was 1-0 to the girls, I had a huge smile on my face and the boys were really startled as to what had just happened.

Harvey came jogging up to me and said,

"Not bad, rain-girl, you're not just a bookworm I see," he smiled at me and we made our way back into the school.

I got changed and started walking home and Harvey came and was walking with me.

"So you play football?" He asked me.

"I used to,"

"And now,"

"Not so much,"

"Why not?"

"I don't really enjoy it anymore,"

"How come?"

"When I used to play football, I used to want to become a professional footballer and everyone knew that and it was obvious, then, that that was what I was going to become..."

"But..." he continued for me,

"But, there was this guy who said he liked me and I liked him and it turned out he only liked me because I was good at football and when I wasn't with him, he used to flirt with the cheerleaders, he never got with any of them but he made it out like he was single,"

"Oh, I'm sorry,"

"Why?"

"It's so bad when guys don't treat their girl like they should be treated, I fell sorry for girls who are with guys like that,"

"I don't want your sympathy," I told him.

"I'm not feeling sympathetic, I'm just angry that such an amazing girl like you had to go through that, it's not fair,"

"You can say that again,"

"It's not fair," he repeated, both of us laughing at his stupidity.

"Are you free now?" Harvey asked when we got to my place.

"Yeah, why?"

"Do you want to come over to mine?"

"Sure, but I'll have to shower and get changed, you can come inside while I do that," I told him.

"Okay," he said and we both walked into my house.

My parents weren't arguing today, thank the heavens for that, but my mum saw me and Harvey walk inside.

"Hi, Piper, who's this?"

"I'm Harvey," Harvey took his hand out and shaked me mum's hand.

"Piper, you didn't tell me you had a boyfriend," OH MY DAYS?!

"Harvey's just a friend!" I exclaimed while Harvey laughed.

"Whatever, as long as he's not like Jamie,"

"I told you, Harvey's just a friend," and she just walked away.

"Sorry about her, she's just weird when it comes to guys," I apologised to Harvey.

"It's okay, rain-girl, anyways is Jamie the guy who you...?"

"Yeah, he is," I told him as we entered my room.

In my room, three of the walls were painted a deep dark red and the fourth was painted black. It obviously wasn't as immense as Harvey's room but it was still quite big.

"I like your room, rain-girl," he told me.

"Whatever, rain-boy, it's pretty boring if you ask me, all I have is tons of books,"

"I like that," he said, picking up books, reading the titles, then checking the other books.

"Right, well make yourself at home, I'm going to shower," I told him, grabbing some joggers, a t-shirt and a towel.
