Piper's pov:

I came out of the shower, into my room, to see Harvey reading one of my books. I guessed he was enjoying the book since he didn't look up when I walked in.

I crept up behind him and said,

"Good book?" making him jump and I started laughing.

"You scared me, it's not funny," he looked kind of annoyed.

"Okay, I'm sorry," but I was still laughing a little.

"And yes the book is good,"

"Glad to hear," I said as he carried on reading my book.

I dried my hair, taking up to a full hour, then I started straightening it whilst Harvey carried on reading the book.

Once I'd finished doing my hair, Harvey had also finished the book,

"That book was amazing, I want to read the sequel,"

"I have all the books in that series,"

"Really?!"

"Yeah, you sound suprised,"

"No, I just want to read the next one,"

"Okay I'll give it to you but afterwards, I don't want to see you read all the time,"

"Okay, so what shall we do?" Harvey asked me whilst laying onto my bed.

"I don't know," I told him.

"Let's just watch some movies," Harvey suggested.

"Okay, what do you want to watch?" I asked him while turning on my TV.

"I don't know, let's just flick through and find something," I went through a few until he said,

"THAT ONE!" "The one called 'rain'"

"Okay, calm down rain-boy," I laughed and pressed play.

I went to my bed and laid on one side, Harvey on the other, I'm not sur how it felt having a boy in my bed, Harvey was just my friend but still.

We watched the movie in a nice quiet, there not being 'too' scary parts in it, which made me relax a little more.

Once the film finished, Harvey stretched his arms and I sat up properly.

"That was so good!" Harvey exclaimed.

"Yeah, it was," I agreed with him.

"Hey can I read the sequel to the book I read before?" Harvey asked me.

"Sure, but on one condition," I said as I stood up and walked to get the book.

"And what's that?"

"I read it with you,"

"Okay, sure," he sighed a sigh of...relief? I furrowed in confusion.

"Oh, I just thought the condition would be something else,"

"And what did you think I was going to say?"

"I honestly had no idea," he told me as I handed him my book and sat down next to him.

We started reading the book and it took us a few hours to finish it, he was a fast reader like me.

"I love this book so much,"

"You really got into reading, huh?"

"I guess but only with you because-" I cut him off saying,"

"people will think you're weird,"

"No, because I'm so busy with social media and music, I never get time to do anything, sometimes I don't have time to play the drums and that's my favourite thing to do,"

"Oh," I said as his phone started ringing.

"It's Max," he said and answered his phone.

"Hey," Harvey said.

"I'm with Piper,"

"Oh,"

"Okay," He said and hung up.

"What did Max say?" I asked.

"He said it's getting late and I have to go home,"

Oh shit, I didn't realise the time, sorry,"

"It's okay, I had a great time with you anyways,"

"Really?"

"Yeah, but urm can I ask you something?"

"Sure, rain-boy, go on,"

"Why do you doubt yourself?"

"I just do I guess,"

"Give me an actual answer,"

"Okay, well no-one has ever actually cared about me, everyone hates me and that's how it's always been so if something ever says anything nice to me I know it's just out of pity or sympathy or they're just being sarcastic,"

"I don't hate you," Harvey admitted and I shrugged my shoulders.

"I don't, honestly, to me you seem like such an awesome person and I feel a lot more happier with you, it's like I can be the 'real' me when I'm with you, I don't have a reputation to live up to or maintain,"

"Wow," I was speechless, no-one had EVER been this nice and caring about me, no-one.

"What?" Harvey was a little bit confused at my silence.

"No-one's ever been this caring towards me,"

"Well they've been missing out on a lot," he said making me smile.

"Anyways, I'm hungry let's go out to eat,"

"But you have to go home,"

"It's fine we won't be long, there's an ice-cream place near here."

I changed into leggings in the bathroom and grabbed Harvey's jacket, he gave to me and we left my house and walked to the ice-cream place.

"I see you have my jacket," he smiled.

"You gave it to me, rain-boy,"

"I know, I know," we both laughed as we arrived at the ice-cream place.

We sat down at a table for two and order some ice-cream.

"What's your favourite flavour of ice-cream, rain-girl?"

"Cookie dough,"

"Me too!" He looked happy at the fact we had something in common.

Once we'd finished and left the place, Harvey walked me home.

"See you tomorrow rain-girl,"

"See you, rain-boy," I waved as I walked in to my house, hearing my parents argue once more. And to think today was going so well. I sighed as I walked into my bedroom.

I got into my bed and under the covers and, despite listening to the shouts of my parents, I fell asleep with a huge grin on my face.
