It's been a few weeks now since Yugi has been in the hospital. Atem has been visiting every single day after school since then. Today, Atem brought yellows  roses to represent 'Friendship' because that's what he felt between him and Yugi. But recently, he felt something a little more.

"Hey, Yugi." He knocked on his hospital door softly. Yugi turned to his side to see who it was.

"Hey, Atem..." He yawned.

"Sleepy, are we?" He chuckled, making his way over to his bed.

"K-Kinda..." He mumbled.

"I see," Atem chuckled. "I brought you flowers. They represent 'friendship'."He smiled, putting the vase on the stand next to him.

"T...Thanks, Atem." He smiled sweetly, looking him in the eye for the second time. Atem was still surprised on how amethyst his eyes were.

"You know... you have very beautiful eyes, Yugi." He mentioned, without thinking.

"W-What?!" Yugi stuttered, blushing. Atem blinked and realized.

"Wait! I-I didn't mean that..." He blushed back, looking away. "I just think you have a rare color for eyes..."

"T-Thanks..." He muttered, staring at the roses."

"No problem." His eyes made his way back to Yugi.

"So... How's school going...?" Yugi grinned shyly. He could tell Atem felt hurt on the inside.

"It'd be better if you were around," He chuckled. "But it's okay. I made a bunch of new friends... and girls are annoying."

"Heh heh! T-Thanks, but I don't think me around would ch-change much." He glared at his hands.

"Aw c'mon, I bet you're a really fun person! You just gotta loosen up a bit." He nudged his elbow.

"I just... I don't know... I-I've always been left out because other people thought I talk weird because of m-my stuttering issue. I don't even know how you c-can hang around me for f-five seconds without being annoyed or anything..."

"Don't say that..." Atem muttered. Soon, Yugi's Grandfather walked in.

"Yugi, my boy! And Atem." He greeted the two sitting in another chair.

"Grandpa!" The boy exclaimed.

"Hey!" Atem put on a friendly smile.

"I hope I wasn't too late!" He laughed looking at his sparkly golden watch. "Glad you were keeping my boy company."

"No problem, he's pretty fun." Atem winked.

"Oh, I wish." Yugi jokingly teased.

"He'll learn." Atem chuckled.

"You two have really become close, eh?" Grandpa smiled.

"I guess..."

"Don't worry, Yugi! You'll feel close to someone else for a change." The old man bursted out laughing.

"G-Grandpa!" Yugi blushed. Atem slightly smiled.

"Well, great news! And bad news. The good news is the hospital says they're going to keep you for a couple more weeks until you can be released! The bad news is well..."
