Y/n's POV

Students had the option if they wanted to spend Christmas at Hogwarts or back with their families. I am currently staying due to my father's occupation. Also because he's a professor and needed to prepare for the next upcoming months. To be honest I am excited for Christmas to be here! Since this time it wasn't going to me, father, and a few of my teachers but with friends! Hermione was going home to celebrate Christmas with her parents so I was a little sad... But hey! I have Ron (even though I'm so going to prank him soooo hard) and Harry to accompany me and (S/n). He was whiny about being lonely so now he was sleeping in one of my large coat pockets. I just hoped he didn't make a fuss about being hungry. He always is!-

There were less students so it wasn't bustling like usual per say. But the school was getting prepared for Christmas, putting on lights, decorations and a huge tree! My heart soared when I arrived at the Great Hall. Professor McGonagall and Professor Flitwick were occupied with putting up the decorations. The air was littered with white specks of snow, looking like elegant dull stars swishing and disappearing before they reached the tables. Four trees stood in each corner of the Great Hall, each decorated with ornaments featuring each House. The tables had their own set of displays and equipment getting prepared as well.

"Beautiful ain't it?" A gruff proud voice chuckled behind me. I turned around to be met with Hagrid. He had a few pine needles on his clothes and some stuck in his beard. But the giant didn't seem to notice them.

I giggled with joy then saw Harry, Ron, and Hermione a little further back. Ron's eyes widened at me. "Bloody Mary, are you going to war with the snowmen?"

"Oh shut it Ron! I'm just sensitive to the cold!" I chastised back, crossing my arms at his blatant insult while Harry slightly snickered. "Besides, maybe your brothers shall unleash enchanted snowballs at us!"

"Highly doubt that since they got in trouble." Hermione stated, dressed with a Gryffindor style scarf and beanie. "Oh! We need to head to the library, come on!"

"Eh, what for?" Hagrid questioned, looking rather confused. I gave him a smirk and he immediately widened his eyes. "Nope no! You kids stay outta this! It has nothin' to do with youngsters like you!"

"Well Hagrid indeed it does so mind telling us who he is to save us the trouble?" Harry smiled, the giant grew impatient which was seen clearly on his face. But he gave no answer. "No? All right then! Let's get going guys!"

Without even giving a second for Hagrid to stop us we dashed out of the Great Hall and headed towards the library. This isn't going to be easy and I'm not talking about the books but... (S/n) was being quite fidgety in his sleep damn it!

Nobody's POV:

You and the trio had already begun searching through sections of the library. Your head was pounding from how much reading you were shoving in your head. At least (S/n) was there to give you encouraging feedback. It made up the fact he was being annoying before. But still. You were already at 5 books in, just skimming through them. However you couldn't find the name Nicolas Flamel in any of them! It was starting to get on your nerves. Especially because the librarian Madam Pince kept on giving you stares.
