Chapter 2: Discovery

Snape's Pov:

I was sleeping in my bed in the middle of the night when I awoke to someone crying. It sounded like a baby? No there can't be a child outside my house! I dressed annoyed that my sleep was interrupted.

I opened my door grabbing an umbrella and went outside trying to find the source of that horrendous crying. It was coming from my trashcan? I opened it and saw a baby in a dark blanket. It had (s/c) skin and had a bit of (h/c) hair. I quickly picked the baby up and went into the house shutting the door.

The baby was crying and looked so cold and ill. I placed them down and went to get a potion that would at least silence this pitiful child.

I went back to the crying baby and picked her up as I gave her the potion. She stopped crying, but still had her eyes closed. But still, thank God she stopped crying. I got my wand out of my pocket and dried her in one fell swoop emitting hot air causing her to move a bit from the heat.

When I was done I began rocking the baby and making sure it didn't cry on me now. Wait a minute now what do I do? I literally have a child in my hands! No no no no. I have to get rid of her, I can't take care of a child! I'm Severus Sn-

I felt a warm hand touching my face and started poking lightly at my pale skin. I looked down and was mesmerized when I saw two extraordinary eyes glittering back at me. The left eye was a beautiful (e/c) while the right was green and blue multicolored.

The baby was smiling and giggling reaching up to grab my face. And I felt something I didn't feel in a long time. My heart melted as I let the baby grab my face and my nose.

I chuckled softly. Then I made a decision. I am adopting them. Wait? Is this a boy or a girl? I checked.

"Yes, you're a girl." I said rocking her as she yawned and fell asleep in my arms. I have to tell Dumbledore, maybe he will help me pick out a name for her.

Time skip by: ME

After some time, I already prepared a room for the little girl, Dumbledore replied saying that he was thrilled for me to finally have some company....

He helped me pick out a name for the baby girl and I thought it fitted nicely.

(Y/n), (Y/n) Snape, my little baby serpent.
