Chapter 3: 10 Years Later

A/n: Happy New Year guys! Sorry for not updating frequently having some trouble with FINGERSS.

Y/n's Pov:

I woke up from my deep sleep and yawned while cracking my back. I looked around my room and rubbed my eyes getting up and changing into my (f/c) early morning wear. I opened my door and skipped into the living room seeing my father reading a book... about vampires?

I guess he didn't hear me, since he looked up and frantically tucked the book away.

"(Y/n)! I didn't know you were up." He says a bit embarrassed that I saw him reading a vampire book.

I stare at him and held out my hand, my palm faced up.

"If you could be so kind father too let me see that book?" I asked him, looking at him with a triumphant smile on my face.

He sighed and took out the book, "Fine." he groaned as he got up and gave the book to me and went to the kitchen to probably cook breakfast.

I looked at the book and I began to read it, it was actually quite interesting so I kept reading it until I saw a dark brown owl flying towards me from the open window an- OOH MY GOD!!!

Snape's Pov:

I can't believe she caught me reading it, but at least she didn't make fun of me for it. I still remember the first day I had her. I smiled at that memory seeing her unique eyes looking at me when she was a baby.

It's been 10 years since then. She has grown to be quite good with potions and basic charms. But the thing that she is most best at, is piano and singing. I was quite surprised myself when she leaned how to play piano and sing songs. Of course she would try to make me play with her, but I have more important matters to deal with, even so I enjoy spending time with her.(A/n: (Little fact of the story) Dumbledore bought the piano for you on your 7th B-Day! What a nice guy!)

But I wonder when she will be receiving her letter to Hogwarts, her birthday is only 2 months away, but still. I was getting out the plates to put the cauldron cakes on them when I heard (Y/n) scream.

I stopped what I was doing and grabbed my wand that was nearby and ran to the living room ready to attack the intruder. But to my surprise I saw (Y/n) covering her eyes as an owl was standing on top of her head. I put my wand away and my eyes widen a bit as I saw the letter to Hogwarts in the owl's beak.

Y/n's Pov:

I was covering my eyes scared by the owl, but I felt the owl fly off. I removed my hands from my eyes slowly, until I got smacked on the top of my head by my father with an envelope.

"Ow! Hey what was that for?" I said rubbing my head and looking at his cold obsidian eyes.

"From getting scared by a Barred owl." He said coldly, but then smirked a bit in amusement while handing me the letter.

I grabbed the letter and looked at it and then back at him.

"I-Is it?" I said looking at him with bright happy eyes. He didn't say anything, but gave me a reassuring nod.

I carefully opened it and read it out loud to my father.

Dear Miss. Snape,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Please find the enclosed list of all necessary books and equipment.

Term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no later than July 31.

I've never been more happy in my life! I hugged my father with the letter in my hand jumping up and down with joy in the living room failing my arms saying," I'M GOING TO HOGWARTS YAY!"(A/n: I wish Wattpad had fonts ;-;)

Snape's Pov:

Many times I've seen her happy. But I was shocked when she hugged me out of pure joy, I still wasn't good with these kinds of things. However she has been dreaming of going to Hogwarts ever since I told her all about it when she was 6, of course I had too tell her to keep it a secret to the muggle world whenever we visited. 

I looked over the list too find that we already had most of the things she needed, I sighed knowing I would have to go too Diagon Alley with limited space and the grueling noises those people made (A/n: Aka talking or ((people fangirling or fanboying)). But if it meant seeing her happy then I would go.

I got ready while (Y/n) was still jumping around like a madwoman already changed into her clothes. She still was whispering to herself," I'm going to Hogwarts Yey YEY." I smacked the top of her head with my wand lightly.

"Come on let's go," I said mumbled as I grabbed her hand.

"Wait, where are we going?" She questioned.

I looked at her eyes and replied," To Diagon Alley of course."

An: *streches and cracks neck* Nothing like sitting in a bad position hunched over for 20 minutes typing while rechecking spelling errors is healthy!
