Chapter 12: New Seeker

Y/n's Pov:

Turns out Harry didn't get in trouble, he became Gryffindor's new seeker!

"Wish I was in Gryffindor so I could cheer you on with red and gold flags." I chuckled standing next to them. But the fun soon ended when Malfoy came over to us with his two henchmen.

"(Y/n)! What are you doing hanging out with these Gryffindors? You're supposed to be with us! Not with Harry Pott!"

My eyebrows went down," Malfoy we may be friends, but are you saying you're jealous I'm gonna steal Harry from you?" Raising an eyebrow as I smiled at him watching his face flush and turn red from anger.

"Harry you and me, duel at midnight, Ron can come and get your arse kicked by Crabbe, and (Y/n) if you think you're so smart then you can come too, to duel Goyle." He challenged me.

"Fine Malfoy." Harry accepted, they walked away leaving Ron and Hermione shocked that Harry accepted his challenge.

"Are you STUPID!?" Hermione shouted smacking him in the head.

"I want to go practice on my curses on those idiotic boys," I said giving them a mischievous smile, but then I got smacked by Hermione. "OW! Hey, you smacked me way harder than Harry!" Hermione rolled her eyes and turned to Harry.

"Just PLEASE tell me you're not going! We have already lost enough house points!" Hermione told Harry who now had that look of 'What have I got myself into.'

I went back into my common room to prepare for the midnight duel. I was planning on writing to Harry and Ron if Malfoy left and other stuff like that. I went to play more piano, helping my fellow Slytherins sleep with some soft Mozart.

When I finished I went into my dormitory and practiced some low level spells, then when I was done I wrote to Harry.

"Hey Harry, anything new right now? I'm practicing my spells, are you too?" I wrote smiling while I received an answer pretty quickly.

"Nothing new, but I don't know what spells to be practicing! Can you help me?"

"Nope, you're on your own! HAHA, but-" I heard the door opened so I shut my book and turned to see... Father?

"Father?" I said standing up, I wasn't supposed to call him dad or Severus when other people were around which I understood given his reputation. Fortunately, given my father's position in the school I was allowed to have a room completely by myself, I mean nobody wants to be in the same room with a venomous cobra!  He closed the door and said," (Y/n) I need to tell you something important."

I raised an eyebrow," What is it then?"

He hesitated and tried to speak, but looked at the ground, was he nervous?

My eyes bent down. I was getting a bit impatient. He pulled out a book of potions.

"You left your potions book in my class, don't do it again, it wastes my time." He said coldly, handed me the book, and left.

... What? I opened it and yes it was mine, but I knew he was hiding something. He is my father after all so I know him pretty well. I resumed writing back to Harry getting a bit nervous as the minutes passed, a good thing (S/n) was there helping me loosen up and take my mind off things.

Snape's Pov:

I walked to my classroom and let out a sigh. I need to tell her the truth, but I just can't imagine seeing that expression on her face. The expression of her life being a huge lie. She would be asking so many questions about why her parents abandoned her, when I found her, many things... And most importantly why they left her in a damn garbage bin!

I should've told her when she was little, but I was so focused on her and other things for months, I actually thought she was my biological child.

I know I have to tell her sooner or later... And it will be difficult.
