Price had handed Soap a laptop, which he quickly started typing on. Ghost had given me something for my pains and was able to treat my wounds. He bragged about knowing basic medical and being the best at treating burns on the spot. Price even joined in, saying that he only knew basic medical because of the medics we have back on base.
"Uplink nearly complete." Soap starts, his typing pauses for a second. "General Shepherd, you're online with Captain Price." Soap hands off the laptop back to Price.
"Back from the brink, Captain." Shepherd almost states, his voice bland with a small hint of amusement.
"'Out of the frying pan' is more like it. This world looks more like hell than the one I just left." Price responds, as he messes with the laptop. It looks like he's pulling something up.
"We thought we'd recover the ACS before the Russians could crack it. We were wrong. Then Makarov turned the U.S. into his scapegoat. Next thing you know, there's flames everywhere."
I look over to Ghost, who quietly mentions that the U.S. was bombed while we were busy rescuing Price. If he's right, which he almost always is, then that's the first actual attack anyone's done towards the States. I can only imagine what Shepherds Rangers are in for.
"What's this image you're sending me?" Shepherd questions, leading to Price grinning.
"You wanna put out an oil fire, Sir, you set off a bigger explosion right next to it. Sucks away the oxygen. Snuffs the flame."
"Price, you've been locked away too long. Better get your mind right, son."
"Shepherd, are you willing to do what is necessary to win?"
"Always."
"We got ourselves a pretty big fire. Gonna need a huge bang."
"You've been in the gulag too long, Price. Focus on taking out Makarov."
"No time, sir. We need to end this war today."
"I'm not asking you, Price. This is an order! You're to--"
Price closes the laptop, cutting the transmission entirely. "Hmm... Looks like we lost our connection." A smile creeps onto the old mans face.
"You're dead when he finds out we're doing this." Soap states, shaking his head.
"But we'll take some fire away from America. We'll be saving more than we harm."
"If you say so, Price..."

The pilot drops Price and I off, leading to us parachuting down into the snow. We get a bit separated on landing. I struggle for a second to get the parachute off, though manage to fully get it off as Price spots me. Ghost and the others were dropped off at a different location.
"Found him, Soap. He appears to be intact-"
"I am most defiantly still intact, sir." I chuckle a little, making Price smile. He then motions for me to follow him.
"We're gonna head northwest to the sub base, over."
"Copy that. The rest of the team landed pretty far to the east."
"Tell them to proceed with the mission, we'll regroup if possible."
"Aye, sir. I will."
Price nods then leads the way, keeping close to the tree line. What looks like a road starts to appear, making us both slow down.
