Bad Days

Alec walked into the apartment he was late he texted Magnus saying not to wait up for him but Magnus sitting on the sofa not watching TV or reading a book just staring into space.

"I told you not to wait up for me." Alec said locking the apartment door

"I know." said Magnus.

"Then why did you stay up?"

"believe it or not, but Not everything's about you Alec." Magnus told him.

"Oh, I-I'm sorry, d-did I do something? Alec asked, he tried to think of everything he's don't in the lady few days.

" Again, not everything's about you. " Magnus told repeated.

" I-I'm sorry. " said Alec trying to stop the tears that he could feel were coming.

"Oh my god, I never thought I'd say this, but Jace is right, your so annoying always saying sorry about everything." Magnus said bitterly.

"I'm sorry i-I mean I'm not sorry wait no-" Alec rambled on he knew he was probably really lame and dumb but Magnus always made him feel special.

Alec looked at the ground not saying anything he wiped a tear and looked up.

Magnus looked at him as if he were the stupidest thing in the world.

" Your pathetic." Magnus told him.

Alec was shocked Magnus never spoke to him like that.

"I-i should go." Alec said.

"No! Wait Alec I'm sorry please, please don't go." Magnus begged Magnus was crying Alec could tell but he didn't know why.

Alec froze not knowing what to do.

" Well sit down you idiot. "Magnus said angrily.

" Wait Alec, I didn't mean it I'm sorry. " Magnus cried.

Alec sat on the couch slowly still silently crying, he was so hurt by Magnus.

" I-I'M just going to go. "Alec told him awkwardly.

After all Magnus' beggs and sorrys and pleading Alec managed to leave.

Alec didn't want to go back to the institute because everyone would ask what was wrong and Alec didn't feel like talking so he walked to Central Park.

Magnus was right though Alec was pathetic and stupid and an idiot and nobody liked him, he was just pointing out the obvious.

Alec climbed the biggest tree he could see and sat at the top looking at the sunset.

It wasn't for a while until Alec could feel someone else's presence it was probably Jace.

But it wasn't it was Magnus.

"I'm sorry." Magnus told him.

"Don't be, you were just pointing out the obvious."

"No I wasn't I was pointing out lies, your not pathetic or annoying or an idiot and you don't say sorry too much you say sorry the perfect amount of times and Jace never said you said sorry too much I just said that because I knew it would hurt you." Magnus told him.

" Then why, why were you trying to hurt me?" Alec asked.

" Because I had a really bad day today, my friend died, he was very close to me I wanted everyone to feel how miserable I did but I realise now that that was wrong."

" Next time just tell me and I'll be their I always will. "

They both sat their watching the sunset for what felt like forever, Alec wanted it to be forever.
