*Time skip*
You step off the train along with the other people, the echoing of the trains rattling along the tracks and the whistles they made filled your ears.
If anything, you felt disoriented as you stumble across the platform.
You rub your eyes and stretch your back. It had been a long journey. You were tired.
So tired that you didn't notice bumping into the light skinned, brown eyed, black haired girl behind you. She looked your age.
"Shit!" She yells.
You had made her spill coffee all over her white shirt.
"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry." You apologise, mentally preparing yourself for her to completely scream at you and accuse you of assault or something random like that.
Luckily, she didn't.
Instead her lips turned upwards into a friendly smirk and shrugs her shoulders before saying, "It's fine, I'm sorry."
"Sorry for what?" You say laughing slightly in relief.
"For yelling."
"It's fine! It's not like you screamed the whole place down." You scoff and she attempts to laugh along, just to be polite.
"I'm Brooke," She says, holding out her hand to be shook. "Who are you?"
You would've answered sooner but the train that you had just got off had started to whir into motion which made it too loud for you to speak.
"I'M Y/N!!!" You shout, trying to be heard over the clanking of wheels grinding along the track.
"WHAT????" Brooke responds, yelling louder than you but smiling all the same.
"Y/N!!!" You shout back.
The train had departed the station and all noises of machinery were fading but you were still shouting.
"COOL TO MEET YOU Y/N!" Brooke continues yelling, just to annoy the people around you who had now started to stare.
You both collapse into a fit of laughter as you stroll out from the platform and exit the building. Talking about the most random stuff as you walked.
You could tell that you were going to be friends.
"So, what are you in L.A. for?" Brooke asks, stopping outside the station, suddenly realising that you might both have to go separate ways.
"I'm not sure yet.." you say grinning childishly, "let's just let f a t e d e c i d e"
Brooke snorts before returning to a smile and nodding her head, "Yeah me too."
"Wait really?" You say taken aback, this really could be the universe speaking to you.
"Well, yes, I have some classes on being a vet at the collage tomorrow but apart from that, I'm free." Brooke says, looking to the floor for the most part but her eyes meeting yours at the last two words.
"Awesome. What shall we do now?" You ask, your eyes moving away from Brooke and hovering across towards the group of people heading into the gym across the road.
"You wanna do some aerobics?" Brooke asks, seeing your averted attention.
"Yeah, why not" You say, grinning back at her.
You were going to be best friends, you were sure of it.
