The sun's warm rays beat down on you comforting you and reminding you of your childhood when Mallory used to change the weather just for you.
You rip open your eyelids hoping to be in the safety of the coven.
Instead, you found you and your two friends still in Camp Redwood.
You had almost forgotten how time travel worked.
(I know it's slightly different to the series but I thought this made the story more interesting, hence the start of the story)
You shoot Brooke a reassuring smile.
She was staring around and rapidly blinking, probably checking if all of this was real.
You decided not to intervene and let her figure it out herself because you honestly couldn't be bothered.
Time travel often made you feel drained it seemed, or maybe you were just tired after a night of killers.
"So, let's get out of this creepy fucking place," Maddison says, pulling a disgusted face.
You nod and you reckon Brooke does too.
As you made your way towards the arch way, you hear the sound of rushing footsteps behind you.
You spin round, just before your foot could cross the property line.
You realised you were staring at none other than Xavier.
He was wearing the same clothes as he was the last time you saw him and had barely aged a day.
"Y/n, Brooke? What are you doing here? We thought you'd got away! Why didn't you show up sooner?" Xavier splutters, "Who's this goth? What's going on?"
"How about you explain what's going on!" You say confused.
He must've latched onto your time travel spell, it's the only thing that makes sense.
"Urgh," Maddison says, clearly annoyed, "Isn't it obvious Y/n, he's a ghost."
"What.. what do you mean?" You say, even more confused.
"Wait, you aren't one too?" Xavier says, raising one eyebrow.
You shook your head, unable to form words.
Xavier didn't look like the pale, floating evil entities that were ghosts portrayed in movies but you were beginning to understand.
It at least explained how he didn't age.
"Come on y/n, we have to go." Maddison says, tugging on your sleeve.
You shake her off, not taking your eyes away from the ghost.
Slowly, you walk towards him until you are within arms distance away, you weren't sure why but you were a little bit frightened of him now.
You poke him, expecting your arm to go through him.
"Ow." He says, stepping back, "That's not nice."
"I- I- I don't understand," You mutter staring at him.
He was definitely real and solid, did that make him not a ghost?
"Do you want me to explain?" Xavier says, a little irritated.
You nod and Brooke mumbles something like "Gladly."
"Montana!" Xavier yells, "Can I have the knife?"
Your blood suddenly began to run cold and your heart almost stopped.
She was a ghost too?
"Two seconds, X, got to finish up with this man," That all too recognisable voice, "I honestly think this is the best kill of the year!"
Hearing the word "kill," you step back, only to see your old friend appear from behind the bushes.
