You suddenly get up, push past Coco and rush into the hallway where Brooke was standing anxiously with Myrtle on her shoulder.
"What?" You say, a little angry at Brooke for not telling you that she was a witch.
"I know, I can't believe it either," Brooke splutters, looking down at the floor with shocked eyes.
At the sight of her dismay, your heart begins to crumble.
You immediately feel sorry for her.
Although her life has been undoubtedly cool so far, it's been pretty traumatic too and an awful lot to comprehend.
Essentially she'd just been thrown in the deep end without knowing how to swim.
She was going to drown if no one helped.
"Brooke, that's pretty cool but don't stress out about it." You say calmly.
"What's her power?" Maddison says, turning off her phone and paying attention for once.
"Telekinesis," Myrtle says, "And who knows what else,"
"So you didn't know this until now?" Maddison says, raising one of her eyebrows.
"I mean, I did do this thing once but I thought it was a hallucination or something.. I don't know.. it's confusing" Brooke says shakily.
"Don't worry about it dear, you don't have to explain it now," Myrtle reassures, "It was quite impressive that you pushed me back with little experience,"
"Yeah, I'm sorry about that," Brooke says, itching her arm.
"Hey Brooke, how about you and me go for a walk, we can talk this out," You say shooting her a reassuring smile and placing your hand on her shoulder, "Trust me, I know how crazy it is to be thrown into this world,"
Brooke nodded and quickly scurried off to get changed.
The room went quiet for a minute, besides the sound of Maddison tapping on her phone.
"You know, Y/n, you are a good leader," Cordelia says, "I never noticed,"
"Yeah, it's a shame she's not a witch," Coco blurts.
"No, leading's not my thing, leave it to you.. or Mallory when she comes back," You add, "What are we doing about that by the way?"
"Well, the plan is tonight you'll go to sleep after drinking a special potion that makes you dream of Mallory, then Myrtle will stand above you extracting the memories whilst your head is in the correct realm and that's all you need to worry about my dear," Cordelia says, her eyes wandering to Brooke who had just come out of the room.
She had a spring in her step and seemed refreshed.
"Ready," She says like a school child.
You smile, genuinely.
As you exit the hut you find yourself looking back at Cordelia.
No matter what she said, she definitely doesn't seem right, this antichrist stuff had got to her.
"Oooh, can I come?" Coco asks.
You clearly heard it but you were already out of the building and it was your right to ignore it and focus on helping your friend.
