Montana frowned at your terrified faces before glancing at the knife she was holding.

"Ohhh, sorry, this is just for self protection." She laughed not taking her eyes off the glistening knife, "You should consider getting some."

You stay back, horrified that Montana could laugh at such a thing.

You grab Brooke's hand, unable to figure out if you are trying to reassure her or yourself that Montana didn't seem.. off..

"Oh okay..." You say quickly, as if to entertain Montana's maniacal face.

"Well come on guys, we have to find a safe spot now." Montana says, flashing back to reality.

You breathe a sigh of relief before Montana irrationally stuck her hand out.

Montana grabbed Brooke's other wrist and began to drag the two of you through the forest until all three of you were sprinting through the undergrowth with no clue where you were going.

At this point, you were used to Montana's rash behaviour so you didn't think much of the three of you running at full whack.

You were just glad to have company.

Montana suddenly stopped to catch her breath, leaning against a tree.

"Where are we going Montana?" You ask, collapsing onto the floor with your heart pumping in your chest.

She didn't answer

"At least we are a bit further away from the killers" Brooke says, her eyes meeting yours.

"You're right." Montana adds, "I think we should keep going."

"How do we know we are running in the right direction, for all we know we could be about to bump into the killers and-" Brooke begins but you cut her off.

"Shouldn't we be helping the others? What about Xavier? Ray?" You say, interrupting the two of them.

"For all we know they could be dead" Montana says, "Now I know I'd like to make it out here alive so if you aren't going to come with us that's fine with me."

You are slightly hurt by Montana's heartlessness but you had to admit she had a point.

You glance at Brooke who was staring at the ground, clearly avoiding your eyes.

Without having to ask, you knew she agreed with Montana.

"Please come with us Y/n, we can call for help or something, trust me, it'll be better for everyone if we get the hell outta here." Brooke pleads.

Tears began to form into your eyes as you shook your head, you fought them back though.

"I'm going to go and find the others" You say, getting to your feet.

"I said it before and I'll say it again, fine with me" Montana says coldly.

(Sneaky half of a ferris bueler quote there my friends, life moves pretty fast ya know)

Montana gestured for Brooke to get up before the two of them jogged off deeper into the forest.

Instead of a "goodbye", "good luck" or "be safe" only got a sympathetic glance from Brooke before they disappeared into the dark.

Your hope crumpled a little, the two of them had just left you.

You were now alone in a forest with two killers.

You didn't like those odds.

"Not completely alone.." A mysterious yet familiar voice resonated through the trees.

Hey, sorry for being inactive for about half a year, I'm currently writing original stuff but I thought it would be unfair not to continue with this, I can't leave you all on a cliffhanger for too long. Thanks for sticking with me and reading this though, it's awesome. I can't promise my writing will be good though lmao.
